Genn 0 #1 June 25, 2003 THIS WILL OPEN YOUR EYES By Paul Harvey - Conveniently Forgotten Facts Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow Black Panther named...Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once safely immobilized, his friends tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouringboiling water on him. When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member, Warren Kimbo took Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's body was later found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Conn. Perhaps at this point you're curious as to what happened to these Black Panthers. In 1977, that's only eight years later, only one of the killers was still in jail. The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a scholarship to Harvard, and became good friends with none other than Al Gore. He later became an assistant dean at an Eastern Connecticut State College. Isn't that something? As a '60s radical you can pump a bullet into someone's head, and a few years later, in the same state, you can become an assistant college dean! Only in America! Erica Huggins was the lady who served the Panthers by boiling the water for Mr. Rackley's torture. Some years later Ms. Huggins was elected to a California School Board. How in the world do you think these killers got off so easy? Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts of two people who came to the defense of the Panthers. These two people actually went so far as to shut down Yale University with demonstrations in defense of the accused Black Panthers during their trial. One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee. Mr. Lee, or Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn't a college dean. He isn't a member of a California School Board. He is now head of the US Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, appointed by none other than Bill Clinton. O.K., so who was the other Panther defender? Is this other notable Panther defender now a school board member? Is this other Panther apologist now an assistant college dean? No, neither! The other Panther defender was, like Lee, a radical law student at Yale University at the time. She is now known as The "smartest woman in the world." She is none other than the Democratic senator from the state of New York---- our former First Lady, the incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton. And now, as Paul Harvey said; You know "the rest of the story." Pass this on! This deserves the widest possible press. Also remember it, if and when she runs for President! Thought this was worth while reading.
sfc 1 #2 June 25, 2003 I'm amazed that people actually believe this kind of trash, it just right wing propaganda. Check out snopes. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/outrage/panthers.htm

Deuce 1 #5 June 25, 2003 One internet source versus another. Funny coincidence. My Dad was an Oakland cop in the 60's and had the opportunity to arrest Huey Newton. I was a Alameda County Deputy in the 80's and had the opportunity to have him in my max security pod at the North County Jail. He was articulate. He died on the street in a crack deal gone bad just a couple years later.

Genn 0 #9 June 25, 2003 I never said I believed it or not. I thought it was worth the read. My professor sent it to me. I replied asking for the source...I didn't get an answer yet but I still thought it was worth the read.

It really is okay to admit you were hooked...line and sinker... Steel 0 #14 June 25, 2003 It makes plenty of sense to me. I was watching something on the history channel the other day about some Scandinavian model who was seen durring the times of Nazi Germany with Hilter. After whe war she moved to the U.S. years. The FBI would later find that she was shacking up with none other than JFK. They were on her trail because they thought she was a Nazi spy. There is nothing shocking about it because you can't be stupid and be a politician. If you're not stupid you will clearly see how stupid the ideas the Democrat party puts foward are. So it follows that if you know these ideas are bad but you put them foward anyway you must be a bad person. So there is nothing shocking when we find all the Mob, KKK, communist or Nazi connections there are with the Democrat politicians. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
Deuce 1 #15 June 25, 2003 I should know better than to post on a political thread, but today my local rag, the SF Chronical, republished the fact that the recall organizer of Gray Davis, Issa, was complicit in a car theft 23 years ago. Relevance today? I am not arguing it's relevance, but I think every writer has an agenda. The rhetoric on snopes isn't unbiased either. There seems to be less reporting than editorializing these days. Read it all. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle. I've had direct contact with members of the Black Panthers (Enjoy your Black Panther Party-Forrest Gump) That's how I formed my opinion.

Let me help you out All presidential candidates are liars most of them are sleaze balls republican and democrat. The fact that a so called proffesor will send something like this out to make a political point just makes it worse. Instead of debating the real issues people get mired down in blowjobs, national guard duty, and inhaling and then wonder why the country is so fucked up. That was not an interesting read it was BS coming from the right wing propaganda machine

I notice he said that after you asked him for the source. Just because he's a wiz at accounting doesn't mean he should be believed about anything else and his email goes to prove it. He believed it because he wanted it to be true. I wouldn't consider him a very objective source of information. QuoteEveryone is entitled to an opinion. I hear you loud and clear. Did you read the article in its entirety? Or did you just read the first few sentences? Cause you do have that option. Is there a point in there? Of course I could have not read it. You on the other hand could have checked on the validity of the story before posting it here, but you didn't . You posted BS. I read it and commented on it thats what happens on a forum. Next time do a few seconds of research .....in other words think for your self. It will save you from having to take a defensive posture over someone elses false information
