TheRus 0 #1 June 19, 2003 What was your first concert? So many people have been talking about birthdays and how old they are and such that I started to get curious about this kind of stuff. My first concert (dear gods, I can't believe I am about to admit this...) - Elvis in Shreveport, LA when I was about 3-4 years old. I can still remember almost the whole thing. Yeah, it's fine, we'll walk down the line. Leave our rain, a cold trade for warm sunshine You my friend, I will defend... and if we change, well, I love you anyway
FliegendeWolf 0 #2 June 19, 2003 I saw Traffic in 1995, one week before I saw my first Dead concert. How bittersweet are those memories. I caught six Dead shows before Jerry died, and my first and last concerts were both at RFK in D.C.A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

LadySkyDIve 0 #6 June 19, 2003 Peter Frampton, 1980 (9th grade). Friends went looking for a joint but came back with a pack of cigarettes instead. Still thought that was cool in 9th grade. Took me 14 years until I could quit smoking though!! But, just hit 10 years without cigs!!

LadySkyDIve 0 #9 June 19, 2003 Last Dead show I saw was at RFK in '87. Bob Dylan and Tom Petty opened for him. I remember that Dylan was in leather pants and I thought - geez, it's 100 friggin degrees out here.

wmw999 2,485 #18 June 19, 2003 Probably Frank Zappa when I was 17. It was an awesome concert, too. Their encore was about 30-40 minutes of jamming. The other choice is Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
fozchek 0 #19 June 19, 2003 Porno for Pyros. I think I was like 15, or something. Mildly traumatic. I never got to see Jane's Addiction, so that was a close second... until I got to see Perry Farrell wandering around town all the time, back when I lived in Venice Beach.
