Guest #78 June 21, 2003 Better chant a lot - it's not really crummy, but there is a low, fast ceiling. here at Kapowsin. Jeanne and I are both here."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
hooked 0 #79 June 22, 2003 Hey, thanks to everyone who showed up for being so friendly. Not too many jumps were being made, and who did jump didn't get much altitude. There was long waits between the clouds for 'holes' big enough to jump. It may have changed after I left though. Thanks to Amazon, MarkHarju, Skymama, Freeflyguy, weid14, Casch, Wlie (who showed up as I was leaving, so I didn't actually meet him).....okay, did I leave anyone out??? Sorry, if I did. edit: I'll post pictures when I get the film back! Jan -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. Amazon 7 #80 June 22, 2003 Yup I was there And when I called Snohomish they were getting full altitude at 3pm....gggrrrrr And Biscuit and IBTOMP, BoobieCootie, FreeFlyGuy were there as well. Maybe a few more of us will all meet at Lost Prarie in July. I hope its typical hot sumer dry weather in Montana this year. I have looked at WAY too many clouds from both sides now.....Sorry Joni.... but you needed to be a skydiver to really understand that which you sing of....enuff already. skymama 37 #82 June 23, 2003 Well, my weekend in Kapwosin is done. I didn't get to skydive at all because of the low lying clouds. Some people were jumping, but since they were going out lower than my normal pull altitude, it made me a little nervous to give it a try. They kept telling me that Mt. Ranier was off in the distance, but I never saw it. I think it's a big scam that the people of WA tell the tourists to get them to come out and visit the state. I met some awesome people though and hope I made some new friends. It was interesting to see what it was like to be a part of a small dz. I was amazed when Jessie started bringing out food for everyone. I thought that was really cool! The Farrington family made me feel very much welcome and at home. I left my camera there overnight and didn't have any hope that it would be there in the morning, but sure enough it was where I left it. Thanks to everyone who came out to meet me, and to weid14 for putting up with me. And if any of you ever decide to play Scrabble with Freeflyguy, watch out, he's a Scrabble shark! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Guest #83 June 23, 2003 Still no tandem for my brother... It's raining right now, in fact. Man, sometimes I really dislike this place. Didn't jump at all, and neither did Andrea or most of the others when I was there yesterday."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." skymama 37 #86 June 23, 2003 No worries, Skygal. Notice I said that Dave put up with me, but Chopchop who always wants to be the funny man (in his eyes!) changed the wording to "out". freeflyguy 0 #87 June 23, 2003 Yeah, fun weekend, in spite of the weather. I just made it home this morning. heh heh. Dindn't intend to stay the night, but the Sloshball game put an end to the thought of driving. And yes, we did get to altitude yesterday, twice. Finally. So those and the fun subterminal low crossbrace openings were all the jumping. Nice to meet more of you dropzone folks. Andrea, thanks for letting me win at scrabble.
