skybytch 273 #1 June 22, 2003 Have to give the monitor I've been borrowing back... so today I stopped by Circuit City "just to look." When I saw this "open box" 15" NEC MultiSync LCD monitor for $289 I was tempted. When the sales guy told me I could have it for $249 I decided it had to come home with me! It's damn cool. It weighs about a third of what the other one did, takes up half the space and the usable screen is like a third bigger. I finally have a monitor that I can set to 1024x768! ChasingBlueSky 0 #2 June 22, 2003 Good deal - the only problem with LCD's is there are a few you get true color from them - most have trouble doing more than one shade of grey. However, if I found a deal like that, I'd probably pick it up as well._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I use one for my mobile gaming rig, and even in Quake III or Splinter Cell at 70fps there's not enough blurring to be distracting. Of course, those type are a lot more expensive too, and I may not notice the blurring due to a long history of alcohol abuse. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
 ickleFish 0 #24 June 22, 2003 You need to check the response time of the LCD. If you get one that has 16ms response time it should be fine for games, but 30/40ms would not be good.
