Probably right on there. When you feel oppressed and impotent to do anything about it, I'll bet throwing rocks at a tank would feel pretty damn good. It's better than cowering in the corner in fear.

Throwing a rock can be assault with a dangerous weapon (ask a cop). The tank could return fire.

Well, he obviously doesn't have anything to combat a tank. Call it a last act of defiance. You know like the field mouse that is holding the finger up to the eagle that is swooping in to eat him. I wouldn't consider his defiance any less stupid than driving a tank through a residential area killing people...

yes it would be feel good to "try" to fight back, but really, what would it accomplish by throwing a rock (close relative to the pebble)?
