dove 0 #1 June 17, 2003 Hey everyone. I just got a letter today from one of the soldiers I sent a care package to way back in April. He said despite the fact that we all think the war is over that they are still in combat every single day and the shooting is as heavy as ever. He said his Apache looks like swiss cheese. Just because we don't hear about it as much doesn't mean there aren't still guys and gals over there busting their asses for us. A lot of the campaigns to send care packages have dropped off or ceased to exist. So if you can, get together some goodies and send em off to our brothers and sisters in Iraq. If you need some names, PM me and I can get some lists for you. Any kind of snacks, books or fun stuff (like silly string and bubbles - they love that shit!) is great. Just a friendly reminder. We now return you to your regularly scheduled post-whoring. Fall in dove.
skreamer 1 #2 June 17, 2003 According to this BBC article, 41 American soldiers have died since the end of the war. Good of you to still be thinking of them. Now that it is out of the news a lot of people forget. There are even more troops still in Afghanistan who are still having it pretty rough right now, don't forget about them either.
