AndyMan 7 #12 June 13, 2003 Quote Is SVCHOST.exe a windows program? Yes. SVCHost is a wrapper for services that don't have their own .exe files. You'll often see multiples copies of SVCHost running. Like Andy said, you need to identify the particular service that is going apeshit on the processor. I use Take Control. There's a free trail. Or there are some free utils out there as well. littledebbie000 0 #17 June 13, 2003 Try SpyBot Search & Destroy. I run it about once a week and find something new every time. If it doesn't help with it being bogged down, it at least makes sure that the ad-wares aren't hiding on your system. spybot
