I have a very dear friend that saw it happen from the ground. And I don't belive she would lie about something like this.

Let me break it down for you.. What I am displaying is no where near arrogance.

It was the sunset load on that jump. VERY DARK out side.

Of the 5 people on the right hand side of the aircraft I was in the back right hand seat. The gentleman next to me caught a glimpse of what happened. An out of the corner of his eye thing. He damn near got it on camera but his tape ran out. I was looking at the man on the ground when it happened. The others on my side were looking in the line of flight.

I don't doubt your very dear friend saw something from the ground. She either has great eye site, just wanted to make herself a part of the incident "witness list", or she was in the tent that loaded the helicpoter.

I don't really care what your intent was. And yes, I take this very personal. It should have never happened.

Well Opie, This is actually the first time I have read it. I may get on this site once a week to look at the headlines and to check the classifieds and auctions, but until yesterday, I have never read this forum. I toyed with the idea of letting a dead dog lie, but I decided against it and to add a little clarification to the thread. I am a skydiver at heart just like most of the readers here and I can empathize with how they feel, but this whole thing is out of hand. Readers not wanting to jump with me or blackballing me or wanting to injure me. The first post starts with a reference to "this may be a rumor". Well no shit, that is exactly what it is. I actually had an attorney approach ME, not the family, ME. And told me that I could sue if I wanted to because I never should have witnessed what I did. Well no kidding, but that is what I signed up for when I started in this sport. I watched a good friend die as a result of a malfunction two years ago, 1 year and 18 days later I watched another dear friend land under a malfunction and bearly live. He will never jump or work again. Two months after that I watched my brother-in law get killed because he was taking pictures. Hell, I guess if I wanted to sue I could be suing a bunch of people for mental anguish. But I am not like that. That is not part of the game. I hope this helps as to why I posted 9 months later.

The thing I really want is the rain to quit so I can get back in the air. How about you?
