GroundZero 0 #1 May 20, 2003 "...most canopies - he described are like Bikes (which I ride), 90% of it is being on the bike and enjoying that and 10% is what bike it is." Very well said...I think that applies to all forms of skydiving as well.....

dterrick 0 #3 May 20, 2003 Quote Not if you've had an R1 for a bike and a Xaos for a canopy.... My ex-ride was a 1974 honda CJ-360T and my main is a 1991 Raven II (218). ...so call me slower, but sticking the motor at "legal" highway speed is still a wild ride ... just like a low toggle turn abandoned for a downwinder/plf ... I took a brand new Ninja 600R for a rip in 1986 with the owner as a passenger - well before I had a license. After I hit 120 on a major city route I pulled over, dismounted, and didn't ride for 6 years fearing that my lack of fear might kill me. What the HELL am I doing now ???!!??? Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend (Lennon/McCartney)
MrHixxx 0 #4 May 20, 2003 I went airborn over a rise on the taxiway goin about 150 at a boogie last year. I didn't dump it, just had that quick little "theres no rubber on the pavement feeling". Made me start thinking I have a problem with restraint and discretion. I sold the bike at the end of last summer for $$$ reasons, but the restraint issue was in the back of my mind too. I still miss that buzz though... -Hixxxdeath,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
