carve 0 #1 March 17, 2012 Has anyone had success with mounting a gopro camera on a G3 and still able to open the visor?
Squeak 17 #2 March 17, 2012 QuoteHas anyone had success with mounting a gopro camera on a G3 and still able to open the visor? Loads of people, but not all the way up I have also seen a visor mounted one.You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? hookitt 1 #3 March 17, 2012 It will open far enough. Just don't stick it too close to the front. It will open all the way without the camera. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
danielcroft 2 #4 March 17, 2012 I have a G2, the concept is the same. You mount it far enough back that you can open your visor and see without obstruction but far enough forward that you can use the camera without having hours of video of the front of your helmet. carve 0 #5 March 18, 2012 How about mounting the gopro on the visor itself to keep a low profile?

diablopilot 2 #7 March 19, 2012 Try the Contour Roam and the Cookie mount for it. Bad ass.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
danielcroft 2 #8 March 19, 2012 There are solutions for that, there's an aluminum piece that people have screwed to their visor, personally I don't want that on my visor, would make flipping it up pretty awkward. Mchamp has it right, very good placement. I took my mount off a while back because I was doing a bunch of tunnel time, when I put it back on today, I put it too far forward. : (
excaza 1 #9 May 31, 2012 Bumping this thread with something totally unrelated to a gopro Out of curiosity, is it possible to jump the G3 without the visor installed? I assume it's pretty simple to do since the clips can be swapped out, but I'm not sure if it will have any adverse effect on the integrity of the helmet. jono 0 #10 May 31, 2012 Don't know about freefall but Gary Connery used a G3 with goggles for his wingsuit landing. If you really want a definite answer, send an email to Jason at Cookie.Remember you don't stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop laughing. excaza 1 #11 May 31, 2012 Thanks, I didn't even notice that! I sent Cookie an email a few days ago, while I was waiting for a response I figure I'd ask around (I think I'm a little enthusiastic ). Jeremy got back to me last night and said it can be done, so that clears it up!
