crapflinger2000 1 #27 May 15, 2003 PdF makes some mighty fine parachuting equipment, some of it markedly better than some US stuff... This anti-French thing is weird. Either it is one long troll (in which case I admire it in a crap-flinging kind of way), or it is some deep seated thing... which is both scary and sad. later yo __________________________________________________ What would Vic Mackey do? dterrick 0 #28 May 16, 2003 Quote me thinks he meant this jethro tull Me KNOWS he was speaking of that Jethro Tull ... I guess my subtlty was lost. I mean, how can someONE be a 'the'. A freind got me onto the game Rock Trivia once upon a time and I had absolutely NO idea whaththell a "jethro tull" was ... hence the smartass tag. I WAS serious about being thrown out of a plane for the "history lesson" though Dave Bonus points will be given for the origin of "Steely Dan" (for the ladies) Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend (Lennon/McCartney)
lurch 0 #29 May 16, 2003 Look. What the hell is the big deal? So the french didn't back us up on mugging Iraq or even cut their business with iraq on our say-so. Looks to me like an exercise in the active use of freedom. Who gives a fuck? We could have kicked iraq's ass 50 times over with a military force half the size of what we have now, with or without any help from the rest of the world... Look at N.Korea shitting their britches suddenly waving nukes around (" Leave me alone I've got a gun!") They just had it demonstrated to them how easily america could rule the world if it chose to. That wasn't a war...That was a lesson. The french disagreed with the necessity. I think they were wrong. Refusing to join the gangbang does not merit any punishment, let alone the abuse being sprayed everywhere. Get over it!Live and learn... or die, and teach by example. MrHixxx 0 #30 May 16, 2003 I am making checks out to all of them as we speak. I mean, hell, we have a lot in common with the French. We both have asshole presidents... -Hixxxdeath,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
harryskydives 0 #31 May 16, 2003 I should have figured the French had something to do with Wild Turkey when they started making a liqueur. Back when i partyed like a southern viking, we used to drink wild turkey liqueur, from the bottle. That way you had one hand free and you did not have to worry about spilling a coke chaser. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
indyz 1 #32 May 16, 2003 QuoteI'll add more lists. But remember the what the french did to help SH in Iraq next time the dig up a mass grave. 46% of Iraqi exports went to what country? Oh, right, that was the United States.

billo 0 #34 May 16, 2003 QuoteAlcatel don't worry, nobody in this country is purchasing from them! my company was purchasing from them for awhile...but they just don't support US products as well as they do their European products, so they are almost out of here! we'll keep buying american in the mean time :) b

Jasmin 0 #36 May 16, 2003 Umm I hope you're really not serious about this?!! I'm not American, I'm not anti-american. A lot of people I know are. Tar all french with the same brush....Hey, why not african-americans, jews, muslims, asians and Germans while you're at it. Hey, why stop there, lets be bigots about women. Get a grip mate. Freedom of speech, I agree. You know who made the most reknowned speech about it famous? A frenchman named Voltaire. "I disagree with what you say but I'll fight to the death for your right to say it....." Ignorance may be bliss in this case, but I suggest trying some information and perspective for a change? Ps, blue skies buddy.xj "I wouldn't recommend picking a fight with the earth...but then I wouldn't recommend picking a fight with a car either, and that's having tried both." ChasingBlueSky 0 #37 May 16, 2003 NOOOOOO!!!! Air France is a French company? I've been had! Wait, does that mean French's Mustard is from that evil bastion we call France? Maybe we can have a the next Joe McCarthy come along to find all those damn French sympathizers that are undermining the American people. Thanks for yet another funny post. Talk about misdirected anger. And Billvon - I sure am glad you post on here!_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... jerry81 10 #39 May 16, 2003 And, and... The Declaration of human rights was first written in France! And they also came up with the model of modern democracy. Ergo- you should abolish both... Hmm, wait, I think I'm on to something here.
billo 0 #40 May 17, 2003 QuoteI hope your mail was a joke, cause DAMN...you'd be one childish bastard if you ment that! sry bringing back an old thread, i was out of town for awhile... I did not mean that we were just going to cut them off because they were French. We are not using their equipment because they decided to stop supporting US telecom equipment as opposed to European telecom equipment. Different transmission standards require different types of equipment. Since they are scaling back due to bad economy, they have decided to stop supporting and manufacturing the equipment that we use in the US. Because of this, we can no longer support them by buying products because it would be useless to us over here. We must buy American products that are capable of operating in the US telecom environment. It is not like metric/english system co-existing...it just doesn't happen, except at the coasts where we do conversions. No joke intended but no harm either, it is just the way that the market is trying to stay alive today. b
