Neptune 2 Firmware update?

I recently purchased a Neptune 2 that still has the 2.4.2 firmware. The most recent NMU cannot update any firmware older than 2.6 and the NMU that is available to update the older firmware will not run on windows 7. Any ideas on how I can update it other than finding a computer without windows 7?

I run both the older and the newer NMU packages on Win7 64bit just fine.

Perhaps run teh older NMU in compatibility mode ?

I am an alti field support guy, i was talking with matt at alti 2 on the windows 7 issue, according to the factory win 7 32bit should work fine, but nmu is not compatible with the 64 bit OS.
If you can get it to go using compatibility mode that is cool and post your results if not you should have an alti 2 AFS there at Raeford to help you out.

That worked somewhat. I am now able to open the updater however a pop up window appears that says the program has stopped working and needs to shut down but I can move that aside and still start an update. I can get to download stage one and am stuck on "waiting for file processing to complete" flashing. It has been several minutes now so I'm unsure if it is meant to take this long or if it cannot go any further.
