Maksimsf 0 #1 May 2, 2012 Seems like a buying a used rig is not an option due to prices and questionable fit - I decided to go custom wings from Para-service. But still can't figure out if I should get a main (240-260sqf) and then get a h/c or get an H/C then look for main..I'm dead set on Smart 250, so only problem is Main. unfortunately msrp for wings went up $200 and I start to thinking if I should try a Racer instead since a price with dealer discounts is about the same, I'm totally lost now
skybytch 273 #2 May 2, 2012 Order the container first. Size it for the canopies you will be using. Once that's on order, start looking for canopies. Buy a reserve and an AAD before your main if you haven't figured out what main you want yet. When you have a container, reserve and AAD, have them assembled and then contact canopy manufacturers and get mains for demo. You can jump pretty much every main you are interested in for minimal cost. Grab me next time you see me at the dz, I'd be happy to help you on gear stuff. barbs666 0 #3 May 7, 2012 I just got my new wings from Para-service(rigs & things). I am happy that the wait is over due delay on zpx fabric. I would say get a wings, its only 200 bucks, and since your spending a large amount anyways it really isnt much. I am very impressed with my rig, cant wait to jump it. Sunrise (rick) is awesome and happy to answer all your questions and so are Roy and Anne from para-service. Just compare the options you want and the final price, then make a decision. see my post here with pics: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4313658#4313658Wings container; Main: 168' ZPX Pilot; Reserve: Smart 160'; Cypres 2;
