Well I really can't afford one right now but I had an 81 RX-7 and loved that rotary engine, I think I might have to go "car shopping" so I can test drive one

Tell me about it...the cops would be waiting at the dealership with me while I signed the papers and take me in on suspicions... AMC....a name I've no heard in a long time. What's cool is if that engine hasnt' destroyed itself in a fire by now it probably never will. I'd hold on to it! So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! misterhand 0 #31 April 11, 2003 if that engine hasnt' destroyed itself in a fire by now i KNOW it won't. i long ago pitched the plastic valve cover...they were NOT designed to last 20 years...the valve cover is a stamped steel version i got off a late 70's rambler with some gasket hacking to fit the head footprint differences between engine years. the car itself has somewhere around a quarter million miles on it with maybe 30,000 of that on the brand new long block i dropped into it 4 years ago. the sick part is even with the curb weight and gears this thing is faster than the old worn out '81 z-28 camaro with the 350 my brother used to own. only v8 i ever drove so tired it couldnt spin the tires. i got this thing 8 years ago for 250$ as scrap metal. wanted to have a 4x4 thats better than a jeep offroad and can cruise comfortably at over 105-110 mph. 8 years several thousand dollars and 120,000 miles later its still cruising comfortably in fast lane and has outlived a friend's brand-new hyundais entire operating lifespan from dealership to dumpster 3 times over. they just don't build em like they used to. Muenkel 0 #32 April 11, 2003 QuoteI have a 2000 Integra GSR... Max, Take a RSX Type S for a test drive and let me know what you think. My first Acura was a 96 Integra GSR. My new RSX blows it away. I've come full circle with Acura, my first was the Integra, then a 99 TL (excellent car), then a 01 MDX (great vehicle, but still a big ole SUV) and now the RSX. Acura continues to put out a quality product IMO. Chris _________________________________________ Chris

The cornering is awesome, the steering is razor sharp -- a little over-assisted. I only have 71K on my Integra, so it will be a while before I replace it...
