BluDvn222 0 #3 April 10, 2003 Reminds me of a time in college when I had a test at 8am, finished about 8:30am, and was drinking heavily by 8:45am. It was an interesting day to say the least. Rebecca 0 #4 April 10, 2003 Depends on your schedule. I mean, if that's when you normally get home from work, that's like your happy hour, right? In that case, I'd say no, it's not too early. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

nacmacfeegle 0 #12 April 10, 2003 "Especially if the Croatians are drinking too- presto! You're not drinking early OR alone! " Har, but here's the rules. you have to drink the equivalent of the time zone. For example as beer oclock strikes in say New Zealand, you might have a Steinlager, as time marches on perhaps a Redback from Australia. Singhai from Thailand, Lion to represent Africa, you get the picture. What we need is for representatives of each timezone to offer the local favourite sundowners, and we'll have the definitive guide to drinking at any time of the day. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. JayhawkJumper 0 #14 April 10, 2003 We had a club in high school called the breakfast club that would drink beer before school started. I never actually took part in this though, I didn't see the point of just being really tired in class or even buzzed for just an hour.

lawrocket 3 #22 April 11, 2003 It depends on the beverage and how long you've been awake. For example, 8:00 a.m. is far too early for a good ale. The taste buds aren't awake. Nevertheless, a good early morning beverage is the Bloody Mary. To wake up a bit for more drinking, you may wish to try a brandy or a fine schnapps. If you really wanta beer, something that is not too heavy will work. For the early morning scene, a malty lager or a pilsener is a good choice. Or try a good Belgian beer, something like a Peche. It will give character. Save the harder stuff until later. And, I didn't even factor in weather to this analysis (could change it completely). This analysis is like a standard pint glass: It does all right for everything, but is not ideal for any beer. My wife is hotter than your wife.
