Raeford is an awesome DZ, kate and tony really know how to run a place. I met so many .commers and got to hang out with some i already knew. I'm officially a monkey!! Chuck surprised me with my very own monkey hat!! Well i must get outside to help with the nig noggery. More later!! ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! Pammi 0 #2 April 7, 2003 Girl, you owe me big-time btw! A certain birdy told me that I should hold on to that hat for collateral on a case of beer, per 'monkey rules' after you passed out, but I was nice and gave it back Pammi

By the way, what's sunshine's monkey name? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

slotperfect 7 #11 April 7, 2003 It was indeed wonderful to meet so many of you in person, and to share the freedom of the skies. I had a blast in the short amount of time I was there, in and amongst my "work" jumps (if there is such a thing). Thanks to you all for the feedback, especially about the "good vibe" at Raeford. The best bit of feedback I got was that there were no politics here. Thanks for that, too. I have three requests for those of you who participated this weekend, especially those who are from out of town . . . 1) Come back again - SOON! 2) Support Tony and Kate by rating the dropzone HERE 3) Email Kate Raeford@attglobal.net so you can get on the Raeford Parachute Center mailing list. Stay connected!! I wish all of you blue skies, smooth winds, and safe swoops. Arrive Safely John

I'm hoping to see more! On a side note, at first I couldn't figure out what page you were talking about until I remembered that I had changed my settings in my profile. If anyone wants to know, it's so much nicer to view more threads to a page and not have to click as much. To do it, go to Edit Profile, Display Settings, and change the numbers. PhreeZone 20 #17 April 8, 2003 Look for pics from Kate and Kris when he gets back. Raeford should have never invited us back since I want to go back tommorrow. The entire DZ is VERY CHILL and I had a mega cool time there. I'm starting on a complete write up soon on the weekend. (Sunshine and I are already talking what days off we need to take to get back this summer.) For taking a boy in a freefly suit with only limited RW experience Tony and Chris put me in a slot I had to work for it, but it wa so fun. Coconut Monkey is one of the coolest ones around. The CML&S is the ultimate place for a after a hard days worth of jumping crashing area. Watch your back this next week and target a grid for DZ.com Skymonkey1 took one for the team and got sick to bring us good weather. Chuckie... wish you get feeling better so we can flock soon (you forgot to measure me for a GTI). He really is a Monkey and not a Flunky. MattM... one chill dude that I saw do so many things around the DZ I wondered if he ever had time to jump. Great jumps! Merrick, great meeting you and getting to jump. Thanks for playing with the pics Pammi, THANK YOU for allowing Operation Melons to succeed! Looking forward to seeing both of you again soon. Kate, Tony... THANK YOU!!! I had a fantastic time. You have one of the BEST DZ's! I have so many great things to say about Raeford and Skykat, I'm not sure where to start so I'll just say this.... I'll be back SOON! Sillyolething... NICE home! The blanket was SCHWEEEEET! Your a rigger apprentence waiting to happen. It was way cool to meet you. I'll be in the hooy again so look me up for some more jumps! SlotPerfect... cute daughter, you need to get her packing one day soon. I have to say her PowerPuff Girls collection is better then Sunshines. Kris... only you can get the people one room over to do that. Those at the DZ know this one, every one else will be left in the dark Mouth... wonderful to meet you. Enjoy the token for Aviators and let me know about what boogie I need to come to next down there. Anyone else I missed like Joe, Chris, DragonTail, ect... looking forward to jumping with all you again REAL soon! THANK YOU for the great weekend! PhreeZone 20 #19 April 8, 2003 Oh... I MUST thank PLFKing too. I've never seen a beer debt paid like he paid his. 5 cases in one night. Even Chuck was trying to give away beer after putting a chunk in the Rancho Deluxe's fridge. Someone needs to pie Pammi and Merrick too.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
SkymonkeyONE 4 #20 April 8, 2003 I was totally remiss in my duties as DZ beer enforcer/Pie smasher. I will attack when you all least suspect it, so don't be surprised when it happens. Chuckie

Jabeln79 0 #22 April 8, 2003 Thanks to all who made the trip. Saturday was a blast, sorry i had to disappearr sunday. I wanted to stay, but Some medical problems arose and I owe beer for first time on an ambulance, and first time caughing up blood (sweet). Turns out i had walking pnuemonia and I tore my esophagus(sp) and something wrong with my white blood cells but i cant remember what the doctor said i was out of it. The doctors miss diagnosed me last weekend when i was sick, i think they got it right this time. But other than that this weekend was a blast.Blue Skies Joe "Knowledge is the antidote to fear." --- Ralph Waldo Emerson

sunshine 2 #24 April 8, 2003 Well i finally made it home. I spent the night in Ohio last night and drove the last 6 hours home this morning. I saw Mouth and Phree get bit by the dragon and i'm so glad they're both ok. I learned how to correctly pronounce "cockatillo" I got to play with Coconut monkey's crossbow. I'm proud to say i hit the plastic Ninja man right in his nether region!! I learned way too much about Phree after riding in a car with him for 18 hours. (I could make a whole thread about that!!) The Days Inn down there is the only hotel i know of that does housekeeping at 8:30am. WTF?? Chuckie was sick over the weekend and he was sick in Eloy when i was around him...coincidence? I'm thinking I'll make it back to Raeford for the 4th of July. Of all the dz's i've been to, Raeford is by far the best!! I think i need to look into the Army wife program and make Raeford my new home. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
