shabakazaa 0 #1 April 5, 2003 You are under a tyrants rule. But then again, so were the people of the United States. Then, one day, they stood up. They fought for what *is* theirs. And they won. And now they are hated, by people who do not understand true freedom. They are hated by people who have never truly lived. They are hated by people who know not of what it is like to be able to criticize their government. They are hated by people who hate the soil they walk on. People, whom have never seen the soul of life. To those people, the United States of America will find you. We will liberate you. We will sacrifice our lives so that you may be free. So that you may live life. We will die for you.
Snowflake 0 #2 April 5, 2003 NONONO what the US does is support whoever they need to to secure their economic interests. People like S.H, Manuel Noriega, but if said people get out of hand then it's time to go spank them. The US is only concerned with their freedom. The only time others freedom comes into play is when we want to look good taking out a regime we helped start in the first place. The bottom line is you may believe that load of shit but don't try to sell it to me We're so humanitarian why look at the way American Indians live after their country was taken from them We are hated because we have supported and armed tyrants simply because it was economically convenient
shabakazaa 0 #3 April 5, 2003 I respect what you have to say. I also know that some of what you say is correct. I also know that some of what you say is bullshit. So where do we go from here?
Snowflake 0 #4 April 5, 2003 We stay where we are, because are neither of our views are going to change anything. Didn't mean to be insulting but I'm getting tired of the humanitarian card being played. It insults my intelligence when the US acts so high and mighty when in fact they've been wallowing with the pigs all along. I'm still trying to figure out how we went from Osama to Saddam. Never mind the fact that we've been sorry about helping him into power from the get go.
12bhi 0 #5 April 5, 2003 This country was founded on terrorism..Remember the native americans? What we did to them had to be one of the biggest atrocities humankind has ever witnesses. So when it comes down to people saying this is a war about liberation,of another race I have only one thing to say to you... Try thinking for yourself sometime, ignorance isn't the only philosophy in life to live by.Just because the majority accepts all the bullshit it doesnt mean you have to right? shabakazaa 0 #7 April 5, 2003 I have been sitting here, thinking of what words to respond with. What should I say? Should I reach deep into my throat? Should I grasp those first words that come to my mouth? Should I say I know their plight? I don't. All that I know is Freedom. All I know is Economics. All I know is Capitalism. All I know is the United States of America. And to me, she is Great. And to you she is Great. And to us, she is Great. And today I write on the blackboard, "Give us Liberty, or give us death." And today, I say, "Give them Liberty, and give him death."
Snowflake 0 #8 April 5, 2003 QuoteAnd today, I say, "Give them Liberty, and give him death." Who? The American Indians living in squalor on their luxery reservations where they have been swept. Maybe they can get a fraction of a percent of that 80 billion? Naaaa just leave them there and keep oppressing them they'll disappear someday Is that the "liberty" your talking about? misterhand 0 #9 April 5, 2003 i AM tired of the excessively sugary sweet excuses our government gives us for its reasons for basically doing whatever the hell it wants...a different flavor every week! i wish theyd quit trying to make it look like anyone's opinion matters. bush and co. have their reasons and theyre going to do what they think they ought to do....we're only humanitarian when it either stands to profit us somehow or if it would look bad enough if we DIDNT intervene that it could be harmful to us economically. but i'd like to point out one major difference between us and every other conquering army in all of human history. a difference that totally shoots holes in anyone's accusations of america the ruthless. when we bomb someone's ass, first we drop bombs, then we drop FOOD. enough food for most of the population even. if we werent feeding afghanistan right now 9 out of ten of them camel herders'd be dead now. we wind up feeding all these cultures too immature to even feed themselves. please note america does not interfere with modern countries where the locals already are capable of running things quite well for themselves...europe, japan, anywhere modern. or at least we don't invade their asses....economic interference on the other hand....guilty as charged. its a free market. america plays to win. we're not just the world police, we're the world's cultural PARENT, bailing more primitive weaker cultures out of their self inflicted messes and feeding em till they can stand on their own. philippines. afghanistan. half the damn planet during WWII. instead of showing up burning and looting everything in sight raping the women and enslaving the countryside we show up bomb the shit out of the local fascists tell them youre now free to wander the streets speak your mind buy sell and argue politics without fear of secret police, feed all their asses airdrop 8 million blankets and send their women to SCHOOL! we don't just TAKE their resources, we teach them how to build an infrastructure to supply us and then we BUY their resources off them, thus giving them a chance to earn their way to a financially prosperous culture. look at the rich little oil countries. kuwait. qatar. soon iraq will be ruled by someone the iraqi people ASKED for and iraq will earn billions selling us oil. if the iraqis play their cards right they could come out of this with one fat healthy modern economy food for all modern medicine and a culture so addicted to modern civilized comforts theyll be immune to being infected with sick little governments like they have now. america just got sick of waiting for iraq to grow up. until it does, we'll be dropping lots and lot of bombs, yes, and lots of FOOD too. If the world needs an authentic benevolent empire and it has to be us, then so be it. nobody else will do the job because nobody else CAN. america rules. Dolemite 0 #10 April 5, 2003 I wish that I could get in on some of that Casino money. I dont buy into the thought that "people cant better their situation" crap. If you dont like were you live or how little your job pays you or your people screwed my people hundreds of years ago...get your ass off the floor, get a better job, move somewhere else and do something about it. If people spent 1/2 as much time changing the stuff that they dont like as they do bitching about it...more would get done and people would be happier. We create our own destiny. Go out and find yours. -Dolemite "Officially disapproved by the man"

VectorBoy 0 #16 April 5, 2003 Yes it was humor, I'm mostly humor witha little sarcasm. Question: does the U.S. ever actually do any humanitarian work or in your opinion is it always smoke and mirrors? Glen
Snowflake 0 #17 April 5, 2003 As far as the US Government goes I think it's smoke and mirrors and if they could they wouldn't give a scrap of food if they thought they could get away with it. Remember this is the same government that tried to deny agent orange did damage to vets and refused to compensate so they wouldn't look guilty or have to pay a lot of $$$$. The only interest the US government really has is to keep all the money people happy so they can get re-elected. They don't give a f$ck about the average person. Thats why I try to stay out of war threads, because I know my opinion don't mean jack. My opinion will not stop the war. My opinion will not stop GW and his oil and defense buddies from doing what they want. On the other hand when I hear all this BS about humanitarian aid well I just have to say something (although it ain't gonna change shit). The US has let 1000's of people be killed and tortured because it would have been economically unpleasnt for us to stop it, and I'm supposed to believe these same people have suddenly developed a consience (sp). Well buddy I'm here to tell ya I don't believe it's raining but theres something warm and wet on my back

I could go on. Was it for Oil..... gold, gems, mineral reserves, bitchen tye~dye tee shirts for the dropzones? Sorry, I warned, just a teence of sarcasm but a good question. And I don't always agree with what our government does abroad either, even when I was deployed abroad. But I did my share, what was expected and proudly. I didn't have the whole picture then and don't pretend too now. If I would have my way peace in the middle east would not be conducted by a massive war but rather by small teams of experts in discretionary warfare that don't exist, were never there, Tag your are dead terrorist bastard kind of way. To include entire regimes that massively recruit, harbor, fund and train terrorists and then turn around to the rest of the world and say they are no threat to the US and really are one of our great allies. But I think its a little bigger than that now. Notice now how when you use terrorist tactics against modern armor, professionals capable of high rates of ACCURATE small arms fire the outcome is a little different than a nice soft embassy bombing or airline highjacking. There is a definite message being sent that it is going to be harder and harder to conduct operations if you are a terrorist. Yah I know suddam and friends are not terrorists, they really are our allies........... or maybe I don't have the whole picture. Do you?
