But scarily enough, it's probably the safest helmet there is in skydiving. It is actually designed to take an impact, not just to hold audibles and look cool.

I agree totally, except when a friend mis-pronounced "Gath", I almost had to be sedated I was laughing so much. So immature....

We had Mr Gath and his two sons at our DZ the other day. They came to do a tandem each.

Yea...why?
isn't this sport all about looking cool. Hell..given the right (small)gear and cool clothing your an exprienced skydiver without actualy being one...just looking cool is enough..and nobody looks cool or sexy with a protec..:)

They do make great first jump pictures though.
There's nothing cooler then scared face (trying to look happy) that's looking at the camera from under the edge of a waay to big pro-tec with a squished face :)

If you're trying to pull ladies skydiving - you are competing with a lot of people who are cooler and better than you are.

1. The Pro Tec is a good helmet - considering the speeds you move at under a Manta 288...

2. Skydiving is something you do. When pulling ladies - I'd imagine it has more to do with who you are.

Of course, some ladies wear Protecs ;)

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

I jumped with a Protec for over 40 jumps, then I started ff with it for 1 jump.

I wore a "total head coverage" (not sure what type of helmet it is, any help here) for the next 6 with vid, never looked back.

Hey, on certain freeze frame's I look like I know what I'm doing, COOL.
