Cat adoption

Recommended Posts

I went to the local animal shelter today with adopting a cat in mind. There were only two cats there (about 6 months old). I fell in love with one, but it has a cage mate it is very attached to (and they are also litter mates). Should I adopt both or leave one behind? Would that be cruel separating them? Don't balk, I'm tenderhearted!

6 months? damn, too old for Bonzi...

Actually, if you really like cats, get them both. It would probably be more cruel leaving one to the unmerciful needle.

Bonzi? I won't ask. Seems like the getting them both option is the key.

Yeah, don't ask. And whatever you do, do not type the words bonsai and kitten together with a .com on one end and a www. on the other! Just do not do it!

Oh the horror...;)

You'll just end up calling them "kitty" most of the time anyway. So just name them both Kitty; maybe qualify it with "grey kitty" and "white kitty" or whatever.

they are both gray and both female.

Well then you won't be able to tell them apart anyway, right? :)

You could try "good kitty" and "bad kitty," or just use the universal cat attractor, the electric can opener.

Or you could name them after particularly memorable dz.com denizens -- like wingnut and sunshine... (g,d,rvvf)
