Kicking out of linetwists or ...

What do you mean by not so forgiving? Was it flying strait or was it diving/spinning?



The line twist I had on the sport canopy started to dive and spin when I kicked aggressively. When i stopped kicking the canopy straightened again and I resorted to pulling the risers apart. The line twist I had with the student canopy, I was able to just kick and kick without the canopy moving.

It's more a function of planform and WL than raw size. I fly a 269 sf sport canopy and have spun the lines up past the point of recovery twice.
