sunshine 2 #1 March 27, 2003 So i went to Blockbuster today since a certain .commer told me i had to rent Deperado. While there i was checkin out what else there was to rent. I really wanna see Friday After Next, but they only had VHS left, all the DVD's were rented. They're the same price, but i chose not to get it. I'd rather wait and rent the DVD. skymama 37 #11 March 27, 2003 I just got a DVD player in December and now own a grand total of 2, count 'em,2, dvd's. Ever since my cable system started having icontrol, where you can rent a movie for 12 hours for $3.99, I've never been back to the video store. I'm so far behind in seeing movies, there's always something on there for me to watch. dkpbxman 0 #19 March 27, 2003 My younger brother had a job at a video store (VHS) for a couple of years and for every Xmas, birthday or any other occasion marked by the giving of gifts, he would make a slew of copies of movies (instead of spending money) and give them out. I now have over 1000 VHS tapes. So many, in fact, that (like LP's vs. CD's) I couldn't begin to duplicate them. DVD's are better in many ways but I guess I'm just comfortable. aneblett 0 #25 March 27, 2003 I too am a DVD snob!! I take it one step further. I am also a cheapie theatre snob. I don't know if you all have this where you are at but here in Winnipeg there is a small chain of cheap theatres, Cinema City amicably referred to around here as "Cinema Shitty" where movies that are in between the "big theatres" and video play. The price is cheap 1.50-3.00 but the theatres are small, the prints are old and the seats are unconfortable. So I refuse to see a movie there when I think it looks better and sounds better at home with mthe home theatre system on DVD! My name is Adrian and I am a DVD snob!!!
