They handed out awards for "Most Changed" and "Most Interesting Job".

Andrea, be prepared. They may hand out an award for (are you ready for this?) First Grandparent. No matter who gets it, everyone feels old.

I think there's a couple girls that I went to school with that are reaching that sometime around now! :o

They had a kid when they were 13, their kid is getting close to 13yrs old...

Of the 73 people in my graduating class, at least 50 were in attendance;

Wow, so that's what it's like living in a small town, huh?

73? That's big town stuff - my graduating class was half that size.

I missed my 10 year, and we didn't have a 20 year (that was last year). Someone put a multiyear reunion together in '99 that my brother went to; he told me all about the cheerleaders who now have four kids, two ex-husbands and rolls of fat.

I'm going to the next one... with my world record pictures. :P

I've been to a multi-year high school reunion, and a couple of college ones.

I found that the 25th college reunion was a whole lot more fun than the 15th. At the 15th, some people were still trying to fit into the same molds and patterns they held in college. By the 25th, everyone was a lot more relaxed, and it was a lot more fun.

Go Mama. Sarasota's not that bad, and it'd be really hard NOT to have a good time. Just go and "party like a skydiver" B| and give them something to talk about at the next reunion.

I went to my 20th in Sarasota (SHS) and had a great time.

My 10th-year reunion should be next year (ACK I'M OLD IT IS TO WEEP), and I'm all about going. I'm really curious about what happened with my classmates; I've kept in touch with a lot of them, but I graduated with 500 people.

I was a quiet little mouse in high school; it should be entertaining to see people react to me now. Maybe I'll borrow Winsor's "NOBODY KNOWS I'M A LESBIAN" t-shirt.

If nothing else, should be a good opportunity to drink in an interesting setting and get hit on. I can't really think of a downside to attending.

Seems like a perfect time to be able to firebomb all the people who picked on you at the same time.....

... did I say that outloud?

J/k btw, for anyone out there who might be especially sensitive about firebombs. ;):P

Good Lord, I have a 14 year old daughter. She had better not give that distinction to me! :o

Went to my 10 year. It was fun, good to see some of the people and learn what they did. Oddly enough, I had nothing in common with the people who were friends during high school, and really enjoyed some of the people I used to dislike. But all in all, I won't go to my 20th, I don't think. I didn't enjoy most of high school, so revisting it isn't big on my life priority list.

It was interesting to see all the bald guys with beer guts who thought they were studs back then, though.

You better hope he has another one, cause I traded him that t-shirt last year at WFFC. I love wearing it and watching the reaction on people's faces ;)

One the reunion questionaire there is a question that says "What have you been doing lately?" Answer "12 to 25 years - for killing old classmates who taunted me mercilessly during my highschool years. Things look good though. I should be out in time for the reunion. " :D

I've gone to three --10yrs, 15 yrs and 25 yrs and they were all a lot of fun. I don't get a chance to see old friends except at the reunions so it is good to catch up. The surprising thing I notice is that the people don't really change very much. A lot more wrinkles and a lot less hair, but otherwise the they act very much the same.

I think the thing you have to consider before going to a reunion is did you enjoy high school and have fun? If the answer is no, then the reunion won't be any different.

I had a great time in high school and had a lot of good friends that I totally lost contact with after graduation because of my 7 yrs in the army. By the time I got back home, they had all moved away.

so ....my reunions are fun!

OK Skymama -- we've all voted, and you're going. Now you have to pick out a wardrobe, and we want pictures. Make sure it's devastatingly good.

Andrea, TLML and I have attended our 5th, 10th, 20th, 25th and 30th. We had a ball at all of them. Our class was about 165 strong, and at our 30 I think we had about 85 show up.

Of course we have it real easy, our high school alumni association is the oldest in Wisconsin and holds their banquet on Memorial Day weekend each year, and each 5-year class holds their reunion immediately thereafter; so no matter where you are, you know when your reunion will be, just not where your class has booked. One call or email to the alumni assoc. clears that up real quick. They also try realy hard to keep track of everone and send out one or two newsletters each year. Guess we're spoiled.:$

Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.

Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

I logged onto Classmates.com a few years ago and actually found my first boyfriend. We wrote and he even came and ate at my house with my family, but we've since lost touch again. It was pretty cool to see him though.

Two years ago I skipped my 10 year HS reunion.

My theory on it was - I never wanted to hang out with any of them when I was actually in high school - I wasn't going to pretend I wanted to 10 years later.

Instead I spent that weekend at the DZ . . . . surrounded by the type of friends I could have only dreamed of in highschool :D
