aneblett 0 #6 March 19, 2003 Hi, US Virgin Islands or British? My uncle flies planes out there (Tortola BVI). The DZ in Puerto Rico is only a short 30min plane ride... wmw999 2,541 #7 March 19, 2003 Take it. Maybe you can be part of the reason why a dropzone starts up. But the opportunity to live somewhere like that (tropical, beautiful, but with a decent infrastructure) is rare. If it really sucks, you can quit (with a really good reason for future job-getting's sake), and go somewhere else. riggerrob 643 #15 March 20, 2003 If I were you, I'd be packing for the Virgin Islands dude. Sounds like the VI have everything you need except a Dz. Too Easy! We'll start a new DZ. You spend the summer buttering up the local officials, then in the fall, I'll fly down with a Cessna and a few tandem rigs. We'll skydive all day, then "romance" the students all night. wmw999 2,541 #20 March 20, 2003 If you decide you don't want the job, let me know. I'll learn real quick about water treatment. I have a filter on my faucet and I know not to crap in the bathtub; that's the first step, right? Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it.
