skip 0 #1 March 4, 2003 Has anyone ever been ripped off on ebay? 10 days ago I won an auction for a nintendo and have yet to hear from the seller; though he had no problem excepting my Pay Pal transfer of 155.00 within 16 hours of "end of auction". So I have mailed him several times and still have not heard a pep from him. I think Pay pall has some kind of money retraction thingey/investigation and I know I can leave bad juju feedback on ebay, but does anyone have any other advice. He might just be slow to the response, but I think 10 days with contact is pusshing it a little. thanks .:skip

payback462 0 #4 March 4, 2003 ok, first of all, who pays $155 for a nintendo?? was this thing dipped in gold??thats why i only send money order, that way i can get their address and if they stiff me, i can hunt them down and beat them
kiltboy 0 #5 March 4, 2003 I've been fine with ebay but crap can happen. Check out his feedback and see what that tells you. Also I think ebay have a complaint service that can help maybe send you in the right direction for getting recompensed. David
Pammi 0 #6 March 4, 2003 I've been okay with the stuff I bought so far, but I always check others' reviews of the person before I bid. Too many or what kind of negatives he/she got makes me decide whether to buy from them or not. Hopefully they are just slow Pammi

Brisco 0 #10 March 4, 2003 Being that you are in an "active" transaction with the seller, you can get the seller's contact info which should include an address and phone number. Give him/her a call. You can also file a "non performing seller" alert with eBay. eBay will automatically send the seller a mildly threatening e-mail which might get him off the pot. Good luck! Brisco Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

ChasingBlueSky 0 #13 March 4, 2003 It never worked on my Intellivision, and it never worked on my NES. Once a game went - it went for good. I still miss the extreme dodgeball game on the NES, as well as bump n jump on Intellivision._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Magistr8 0 #18 March 5, 2003 I own the best NEs game. It's called Wood and Water Rage. You are either a gorrila on a surfboard trying to get to the otherside of the beach or some freak in a giant mask trying to get to the other side of a skateboard park. The best thing is it still works "Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools." Napoleon Bonaparte

fasterfaller 0 #20 March 5, 2003 I buy a ton of stuff on E-bay . I have done several transactions in excess of $20,000.00 and have never had a problem . I thoroughly look at every item a seller has bought and sold when buying a big ticket item . I also look at the feedback they received for those items . If the seller does not normally sell high dollar items I will insist on talking to them or viewing the item in person before bidding .My only complaint is sometimes delivery is slow but that is not the sellers fault . Make sure that you are not going to receive the item before you leave a negative feedback because they can do the same to you . E-bay is very safe if you DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you hit the bid button .

indyz 1 #24 March 5, 2003 Quote Bionic Commando Ever play the Japanese version, Top Secret? Replace all of the eagle symbols in the American version with swastikas, and call the bad guys Nazz instead of Badds, and you're pretty much there. Some stuff got past the Nintendo censors during the conversion. If you manage to get to the end, the final bad guy is Hitler (renamed "Master D" in the American version, but he looks the same, see attached).
