Magistr8 0 #105 January 26, 2003 I was 19 when I made my first jump. I havn't had the time to get out in the last year so I havn't seen the numbers I wanted. Just to give you guys an idea, I will be doing my 22nd jump on my 22nd b-day in June. Okay maybe earlier if I have the cash. "Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools." freakshow 0 #121 March 6, 2003 Quote After being away from the sport for over 1 1/2 yrs. with 1 tandem JUMP and 4 AFF JUMPS, I still WAS a skydiver because I KNEW that I was to return someday. It was my telling people that I was still a skydiver after not jumping a while that made me live the promise to myself to return I agree I started April 27 2002 at age 22 made 20 jumps have not made a jump in 5 months due to money. I still consider myself a skydiver because I know that I'll be back in the sky someday hopefully soon....I have a whole $86.17 saved that's not very much I know but for somebody who makes a whole $28 a week and is in school it's a good start. And I could make a skydive this weekend with that money but I've decided that when I start again there won't be a huge break again before I get my license. Edited to add it was a S/L B.L. kmcguffee 0 #122 March 6, 2003 First static line at Airborne School in the military in 1992 at the age of 22. I didn't start sport skydiving until the age of 31. It is a whole lot better than military jumping, plus there is no long walk afterward (unless it is a really bad spot). "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do."
