I hate to say it KB, but the shot is much better than the disease. I had the vaccination when I was a kid and still have the telltale scar on my arm. Hang in there. If it gets right down to it, you'll be glad you got the vaccination. I'm sorry you hurt.

Thank you for being there for all of us.

That was my first and they say we're much more sensitive... :( I only had 3 pricks but folks getting it for the second time in their life get 15. I couldn't even imagine. They say I'm toward the more extreme end of the reaction spectrum but it's still w/in "normal" limits. Today's been the worst so far with the cold sweats, headache, fever, and overall soreness. >:( Just sucks to go through it but it beats the alternative! :S

Geez! That looks awful:(. Those pics, were enough to make someone think twice (briefly) before having the shot. I know it's better than the alternative:(. Put on a *Happy Face*:)

Old guys like me already have that scar.

What I'm really concerned about is any affect the innoculation could have had on your breasts.

Quickly, post a nicely framed photograph of your breasts so we can determine if the shot had any affect on your boobs.;)

Really.

The CDC state that that is a normal reaction. the blister will be around 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in diameter with redness up to 3 inces around the site. there will be some swelling of the lymph node around the site as well for 2-4 weeks after. some fatigue, mild fever headaches or muscle aches. Just be real careful with the disposal of the dressing and the scab when it falls off. wash all your cloths and linens and clothing seperately from the others in hot water, detergent and/or bleach.
I'm sure you already know all this.

Uh, NOT! I mean, you're sick right now, you've got this really odd looking thing going on and everyone says it''s "normal"...G'head and fuss a bit, you've got reason to.

And take care of yourself, too...I feel bad for you. [:/] Sorry, Katie.[:/]

Niiiiiice! I just volunteered at work to get the shot. They needed a response group able to interview small pox infected people in case of an attack. You are not making me feel good about the decision!;)
