AggieDave 6 #1 February 15, 2003 Well, Michelle had a very hard and long week, so I took her home early. We also have a banquet tomorrow, so I'll see here tomorrow night too. But, the night was a HUGE success, she almost cried she was so happy. Apparently no guy has treated her this well before, so she really really appreciated everything I did. I had all the food cooked, picked her up, brought her to my house, and layed out on the table was the place setting, with salad already out and two wine glasses and a bottle of wine. In her chair was a stuffed animal (she LOVES stuffed animals), a card was infront of her seat on the table and in the middle of the table was a dozen roses. Playing softly in the background was some Frank Sinatra. I cooked Chicken Alfredo (her favorite) for her tonight and had a very nice desert prepaired also. She was so happy. That made my night, to see her that happy. Seeing her happy has made me happier then I've been in a long time, that's for sure.I only hope that everyone else's Valentine's day has gone this well. (and to all the pervs out there, no I wasn't trying to get into her pants, I care for her deeply and am not willing to do that to this relationship. I'm so happy being with her, that sex isn't a prioity by any means).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." jessd 0 #2 February 15, 2003 Sounds like a great night. I've never been a big fan of Valentine's Day myself - I would rather something nice on an ordinary day. But, sounds like you really put a lot of thought into your gift to her - that's what makes a great present. I can see why so was so happy about it. AggieDave 6 #3 February 15, 2003 Quote-Baz Luhrmann God, I love Baz Luhrmann's stuff. I guess I'm a very very odd guy, since I love the movie Molin rogue, Romeo and Juliet and I loved the song "Everybody should wear sunscreen"...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." jessd 0 #5 February 15, 2003 I must say that I have never seen either of those movies. I just think the Sunscreen Song is really fun. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
dzdiva 7 #6 February 15, 2003 Dude, that is so sweet. It's nice to know that there is still some romance out there. My guy lives real far away and we couldn't be together today. I was however surprised when a dozen beautiful red roses were delivered to my office. "It's not just a daydream if you choose to make it your life..." AggieDave 6 #7 February 15, 2003 You should see Moulin Rogue (sp?). It's a GREAT movie! You'll probably have to watch it a couple times to get every thing, though, although it does seem simple on the surface, it is actually a fairly complex movie.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." jessd 0 #8 February 15, 2003 I will add it to my list of movies to see. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

wmw999 2,515 #13 February 15, 2003 Dave, you did good. Especially because you did it for her, and not for yourself and what you might get out of it. She's lucky to have a friend like you. sunman 0 #14 February 15, 2003 "Blah blah blah..." That's all I got out of that post, Dave. Of course, I spent V-day alone, I'm drunk, and tomorrow's my birthday, which I will spend alone and not jumping cuz the weather's gonna suck, so just ignore me. Okay, I realize you're an Aggie, but when I read this I couldn't help but sing out loud "OOOOOOO-KLAHOMA, where the wind goes sweeping down the plains". Sorry to drag you across the border, it's just there's not much Broadway music about Texas out there!
