TitaniumLegs 8 #27 February 5, 2003 Further to that, as far as reasons why a separate tongue is better than closing loop on the bottom flap... You're right it's because of putting smaller canopies in the container than what should probably be in there. It gets to the point that the tension on the closing loop is no longer from compressing the d-bag, but rather squishing the grommets together. Talons and a few other rigs have been like this for years. A girl in Hollister had a problem with her Wings in that she couldn't get the pin in because the loop (on bottom flap) was too short. Another guy was trying to loosen it off too much. I lengthened it 1/8th inch which was enough to be closable, but still have some tension. With the closing loop on the tongue inside the container, the tolerance is greater, puts less strain on the loop, grommets and packer. (But here I am a mere sky weenie talking to one of the most respected riggers around!) (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
skymedic 0 #28 February 5, 2003 I am gonna add my comments on wings. I had some sizing problems initially...sent my wings back....they sent it back to me right away for rantoul...the chest strap wasn't quite right..a little too high...plus when I ordered it I had wanted the smaller chest strap but didn't put it on the order form. I sent it off to them...they put what's called an accuracy yoke on my rig(the chest strap is 2" lower than normal)..and put the type 17 chest strap on it....now it is just so damn comfy....plus it still looks so damn cool....god I love my wings...and Heather and the guys over there were just sooooo good about everything...hopefully I wont have any size issues when I order my next wings...Heather....I also want to point out that you really are a great asset to that company...I hope they take care of you...your worth it!!!!! marc

Another shameless plug for Wings....I emailed about hard casings for my cutaway cables and I think they were on the way before I pushed the send button. Heather is truly awesome.
