mayday 0 #6 February 6, 2003 "Before you slip into unconsciousness I'd like to have another kiss Another flashing chance at bliss Another kiss, another kiss The days are bright and filled with pain Enclose me in your gentle rain The time you ran was too insane We'll meet again, we'll meet again Oh tell me where your freedom lies The streets are fields that never die Deliver me from reasons why You'd rather cry, I'd rather fly The crystal ship is being filled A thousand girls, a thousand thrills A million ways to spend your time When we get back, I'll drop a line" peace out... jerry81 10 #8 February 6, 2003 Quote Mescaline... from Mescal... somehow related to that drink we call "ta-kill-ya" Actually, mescal/mezcal is a lot like tequila- both are made from agave plants, but while any kind of agave can be used for mescal, only blue mexican agave is used for tequila. Also, the agave pulp used for mescal is dried over smoke which gives it a distinctive flavor. But the name itself comes from the mexican-native word for agave and has no connection with mescaline. So don't go trying to open those doors of perception with tequila.

wingedmonkey1 0 #10 February 6, 2003 A long time ago in a small hicktown in central PA, I met a guy from Texas who, in turn, introduced me to the world of mescal. After drinking 3/4 of the bottle and eating the worm, he said the following: "Mescal is to tequila as MAD DOG 20/20 is to wine" And for some sick reason, it remains one of the few hard liquors that I can drink without gagging. Just thought I'd share that.
