sfc 1 #1 February 3, 2003 One of the jumpers at the DZ who never normally does radical landings decided to do a hook too low and ended up dragging his butt hole thru the dirt with his toggles buried to dig out of it, he was probably crapping mud for a couple of days after that but was otherwise ok. He took extreme action to prevent this from happening again and actually took a blade and cut his front dive loops off!!!! Dive loops can be great for high wind days, and you don't have to hook if you have them, it just seemed like an overreaction. thoughts?
AggieDave 6 #2 February 3, 2003 Um, well this seems like A) a troll and B) to be in the wrong forum... hooked 0 #3 February 3, 2003 The last time someone wrongly posted in this forum, I replied that it should be posted somewhere else. Then when it was moved, no one knew what I was posting about. I guess I replied too early, so I waited with this one.............. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. AggieDave 6 #4 February 3, 2003 Yeah, but its a *real* troll type question. Posted just to stir up shit.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Mayhem 0 #5 February 3, 2003 Damn trolls with no life. If your just attempting to stir-up sh*t, you could atleast make it entertaining. ChileRelleno 0 #7 February 3, 2003 Quote Yeah, but its a *real* troll type question. Quote Actually there wasn't a question posed. It was simply more mindless postwhoring of the sort which most of us have been guilty of in the past. Posted just to stir up shit. Quote I really don't smell the sh*t he's supposedly stirring, not like he named names or made a accusation of some kind. Dave! got to the gym! AggieDave 6 #8 February 3, 2003 Dude, I think you might be the only one who remember the gym post. You know, I have been going, I'm back on a workout schedule and damnit, I feel good! --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." billvon 2,989 #9 February 3, 2003 >and actually took a blade and cut his front dive loops off!!!! I figured the punch line here would be ". . . and so now he does toggle hooks." The gear is almost never the problem; it's the person flying the canopy. If it makes him feel better cutting off the dive loops, then great. It would still be a better idea to get some good canopy flight instruction.

SkymonkeyONE 4 #12 February 3, 2003 Hey Lund, your DZO's were cool folks. I liked meeting them at PIA. As to your response to the first post: what's the problem? This is talkback. Chuckie
skymama 37 #13 February 3, 2003 It started out in Intros. One of those damn greenies moved it over here. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
jose 0 #14 February 3, 2003 All I can say is that if this is was me as a new guy, and this information was true and he just wanted to share it with us, I would never come back to this website again. Where's the love people?
AggieDave 6 #15 February 3, 2003 Yeah, Todd is a great DZO and an all around good guy. It was in Intro (as mama said), it was moved.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
AggieDave 6 #16 February 3, 2003 Look at his full profile, if he really does have a D and has 745 jumps, then why would he post something like he did? Especially in the Intro forum (where this was originally).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
lizzieb 0 #17 February 3, 2003 i think i know the jumper who posted this (though his profile doesn't show his real name) and this post is a true story (i know the jumper that cut off his dive loops...was on the jump with him when he did his low hook). this was not a troll...and i don't think it was an attempt to stir sh#t up...just another question posed to the forums
AggieDave 6 #18 February 3, 2003 If that's the case, then I apologize. 9 times out of 10, when someone posts something like this, its a troll.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Mayhem 0 #19 February 3, 2003 Yeah... my bad, if it's true. And if it is, you think the person could have presented it better. ------------------------------------------------------------ What have you done to make your life better?
