Need help with baby names...........

Recommended Posts

That's funny... Maverick has always been one of my favorite names for a little boy, and Lily is one of my favorite names for a girl - so I vote for those two! They are very "western/saloon-sounding" though (but I'm a Texan so of course I like them! ;-)

Depends on what you are looking for in a name. Aside from the issue of the underlying meanings and etymology of a name, there is the popularity.

When we were looking for names, we wanted something that was not the hot "name of the year" or some such. We didn't want our child to have the same name as lots of her classmates and friends. A good place to research that kind of stuff if you are interested is on the Social Security Administration website:

Boy: Tristan, Siegfried, Herrman....of course Hans

Girl: Oshit

at first glance, i actually thought you were suggesting "Oshit" as a name....

i think its important to check that the name doesn't mean anything "funny" in a different language.
we have some great hebrew names that might turn heads in a foreign country...

and of course, you should name him "Ori" B|, or "Auryn" if its a girl.

Well, if you dont want your kid to have a name that everyone else has then for a girl you can go with Ginny, but the only problem with the name is that a lot of people cant say it right the first few times they hear it. One of my Aunt's still calls me Jenny to this day.
