suz 0 #1 February 4, 2003 I've just come back from holidays. I hate work. I sat there this afternoon wondering what the f@$k am I doing? I spent an hour at the manager's meeting talking about cooking chickens After spending my holidays jumping and drinking and travelling....I'm wondering now what to do with my life. I want to continue skydiving....but I know I'll need to jump a bit more to make it a living... I need a change, I think. Sorry, just thinking out loud. Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after

suz 0 #4 February 4, 2003 Cheers! I think...(god that is bad humour). I want no responsibilities for a while. I hate being a manager. All the shit is laid onto me. I feel like packing a bag of clothes, emptying my bank account and travel the country and just find seasonal work. But then I sit and think that I have a debt of 16k, my little nephew wont know who I am...blah blah blah. Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after
blewaway5 0 #5 February 4, 2003 Not to mention that rotten stuff makes you behave "like the village drunkard out of some early Irish novel." Truman Sparks for President
blewaway5 0 #6 February 4, 2003 Ah, shoot, your nephew can watch the videos and look at the pictures you can send back to prove you're still alive, the $16k people will take whatever $$ you can send them when you send it, and you know all these skydiver types are all about helping out the crazies that follow the boogie circuit. If you want it, go for it Truman Sparks for President
jessd 0 #7 February 4, 2003 Quote I sat there this afternoon wondering what the f@$k am I doing? I spent an hour at the manager's meeting talking about cooking chickens I wonder the same thing a lot while at work. Although, we definitely don't discuss cooking chickens at our meetings. It's usually about boring stuff that confuses me. Now - maybe I will try bringing up chickens at my meeting tomorrow. J/K - things always seem worse when you have to go back to work after a vacation. 12bhi 0 #8 February 4, 2003 Total loss of all basic motor skills.Blurred vision, no balance, numb tongue. The mind recoils in horror. Unable to communicate with the spinal column.Which is interesting cuz you can actually watch yourself behaving in this terrible way,but you cant control it. I just feel as though this job is getting me no where. I am not learning anything. Everyday it's just a struggle to make budget.I need to get my head around things and at the moment. I cant seem to concentrate on anything! Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after

blewaway5 0 #11 February 4, 2003 hehehe, he's referencing my signature. It's from Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. jessd 0 #12 February 4, 2003 Well things can only get better for you. Sometimes you just need to take a step back from the situation to make it work. I hope your work situation gets better. I used to hate my old job and dreaded going to work everyday. Not a good way to feel. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..." suz 0 #16 February 4, 2003 I hear you! I used to have a job that i hated soooooo much, that I had to set the alarm an extra half an hour earlier, so that I could try and get the sickening feeling out of my tummy. Crying usually worked. But then my boss got fired and I left not too long after that. God. What a shocking flash back that was! Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after
12bhi 0 #17 February 4, 2003 But in regards to your post Suz....I feel your pain. @ work as I type this.Thank god I have you wonderful people to brighten the dreariness, that seems to loom over my head when I'm here... blewaway5 0 #18 February 4, 2003 It is a pretty good movie. I own it and have lost track of how many times I've seen it. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten worn out, really. Not too many people seem to own it, at least around here, and every time me and my friends are hanging out doing nothing someone invariably wants to watch it since they haven't seen it in forever. jessd 0 #22 February 4, 2003 I used to joke with my mom every morning before work about having her call me in sick. I hated going in. Now I'm in a different job at the same company - much better. blewaway5 0 #23 February 4, 2003 Oh, The book's better. The only Hunter S. book I didn't like was Hell's Angels. That was ok as far as books go, but I read Sonny Barger's side of the same story and even when factor in both biases to get to middle ground it still looks like Thompson screwed that one up. Oh well, it's still ok to read. Oh, and before I forget, you're right, both actors did awesome jobs ont that film. Truman Sparks for President
