State of the Union Drinking Game

Recommended Posts

ooohh, good one on there. "Nukular"

If I hear him say that one more time, I'm going to throw something at my TV (I better supply myself with a lot of sponges and other soft objects before the speach). If you're going to threaten people with something, at least pronounce it correctly.

I'm thinking that whoever watches it and follows the rules of that game will be wasted within the first few minutes of the speech.

Shit, I don't know dude, I didn't make it up, I just found it on the net and got a chuckle out of it and thought I'd share.

(I'm actually really looking forward to the State of the Union Address and will be watching/listening intently).

I think that last "nookyooler" gave me alcohol poisoning.

He should so invest in some public speaking lessons. It would be well worth his while.

He's lightyears ahead of where he was a few years ago, though! I think he did a very good job tonight.

True. But still. He should still be doing a lot better. I think I know some 5-year olds that speak better than him at times. It's not just his horrible speech he's so monotone - makes it real hard to actually listen to him sometimes. Show some frigin enthusiasm will ya.

I think the accent is what throws people off sometimes, to me he sounds just fine, not monitone at all and I don't find most of his pronounciation off, either, but then again, I'm in Texas listening to a Texan on TV...

Man, I played along with that drinking game. What a mistake. He made "hydrogen" into a five syllable word; that was good for a drink. I think "botulin" became at least four. The section of his speech on Iraq was tough to get through. Two drinks per sentence at least.

I did like his stance on aid to Africa and clean air, though. I just hope the "more domestic energy" position doesn't just mean more coal plants.

For me, the part that nearly made me hurl, was the al-qaeda speach. 3 drinks per sentence, IIRC - which I probably don't.

Did anyone catch the exact pronounciation of the word that sounded somthing like 'botuslim'? What was that word, and is it in a dictionary? Was this a Bushism, or was I too drunk. BTW - I drank on it anyways.

Andy, too drunk. Bill, I'm surprised you didn't know the term Botulinum Toxin when you heard it. I've linked something from JAMA about BT as a bio weapon. This was written last year.

I thought he gave an excellent speach.

Me too, except for the bogus stuff about the aluminum tubes. It was established weeks ago by the UN inspectors that they're rocket parts, not centifuge parts for uranium enrichment. I hope the rest of the "intelligence" was better.

It was established that they could be used for either. BTW.....the correct southern pronunciation of nuclear is newkewler. ;)
