eeneR 3 #4 January 23, 2003 Pretty much weekends only right now. However if there enought people during the week to take the plane up they will. As for hours...right now that kinda varies...on the weekends I would say they are open around 8, till last load... This weekend there will be a AFP refresher course Sat AM and dinner and movies at night. Jumps are normally $19 however they may have a special off season thing going on right now. You can also buy blocks of jumps at a discounted price too... For exact info you can call manifest @ 815-433-0000She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto

mattb 0 #7 January 23, 2003 From one of the weekly updates - "From now until March we will only be jumping on a reservation schedule. Yes, there will be someone here everyday but there may not be a pilot. We are officially closed but Kirk and Woody are here to fly the Cessna if I am not here to fly the Otter. Yes, the Otter is here all year we run the drop zone as a full time business and have no other occupation. Therefore, if it's a nice weekend or day and you want to jump, it is best to call ahead. On January 25 Dave C. will be hosting an AFP refresher course to keep you in tune."

indyz 1 #9 January 23, 2003 Check the weather... Saturday looks like snow in the Chicago area. Sunday looks a little better. I'd be there, but I'm handing my rig over to Para Gear for a repack on Friday.

Does this mean they have rental gear available? Skyrose, let's go! Yes - I think it's safe to assume that rental gear is available year round at SDC. If things haven't changed since I rented gear (almost 2 years) it's $25 a jump (Javelins w/ Sabre 2s) or $75 a day (misc rigs from the gear store formerly know as Active Wear). eeneR 3 #12 January 23, 2003 Yes there is rental gear available. Javelins with Saber 2's (many sizes harness and canopy) and a bunch of different combinations in Para-Concepts. I know its $75 per day at Para-Concepts. I think it is $25 a jump for the Javelins. BTW..The weather in Chicago is not quite the same as at SDC. Slowfaller 0 #23 January 23, 2003 MountainMan snapped that Pic of me last spring at Hinckley. Then my stupid ass tried to alter it because I was bored and saved in on accident. I landed fine (although a little ways from the main landing area) under my Hornet 150. --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM
