What Airplane would you pick?

Recommended Posts

I would pik a Cessna 172, with a fast climb rate and an explosive payload, that is the bird to have.

Actually, I would pick the F-14. It is the most badass looking plane out there. With a plane like that, something has to be seriously wrong with you if you can't get laid.

peace,

I -believe- it can hold up to six paratroopers to be dropped out the back end.

Nope just three
marines with full recon gear.
My vote is for Thunderbird 2 from international rescue, V-tol, big cargo pod door, and built in submarine for after jumping aquatic fun. Glen.

I want to learn how to fly an A-10 Thunderbolt II (aka Warthog). It may be slow, but it's got the biggest bite with that f**kin' gun! Wow!! B|

So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

Cessna Citation X. You have to respect a private passenger jet that will get you & your friends around at Mach 1.

Pretty sure we went up to four a couple times - but I can't remember if they were Hollywood or not with four in the pipe.

Hmm, cost be damned, hell it would have to be the shuttle...
More practically, the AN72 beats the Herc, and I have jumped both.;)
Big birds I haven't jumped though would have to include the Illyushin IL76 (has been at a boogie in europe), the pics and vid looked awsome...
Also the MI 26, world's largest chopper (oo-err missuss..:S)

1st Force Recon USMC (I think 3rd Force may have done it too, I can't quite remember) did this back in Vietnam on more then one occasion. It would hold 6 Marines, they would be static lined dropped. Basically the last guy sat with his feet sort of dangling over the edge, held in by a saftey strap (seatbelt). When it was time to drop (according to the pilot), he would undo the belt, the pilot would pull up and they would slide out the back, getting deployed via static line. Not at all a bad method. Especially since the VC didn't expect the Bronco to drop Marines in.

Same here! I'll fly, eventually, and that's the "private" bird I want!
