relyon 0 #57 January 10, 2003 Quote Seattle, eh? I know a few people in that area. You missed Homer last night trying to explain what is so special about WA state. Everyone thinks it does nothing but rain here. At time it does (Oct - Mar; right now as a matter of fact ), but it's gorgeous otherwise and we have one of the best backdrops in the world in our backyard. I'll probably have to leave at some point, though. I'm retraining to be a helicopter pilot and the climate just isn't compatible with making a living that way. skygal3 0 #58 January 11, 2003 wow! that's a beautiful picture. I was actually headed to Oregon a few years ago, and then was rerouted...but my friends ended up in Seattle instead (well, Seattle first then Shoreline). They absolutely love it. I haven't gotten out that way yet though. I like the sound of the summer weather! I am more of a water girl so where ever I end up I hope it is near the water. Bob HA, it has been sunny and georgeous here for 6 straight days. If it weren't for work I would have jumped every day. Of course this isn't doing the skiing any good either.... To answer the question. I'm trying out the Northwest right now, I can't decide where would be best. Maybe Whistler/blackcomb winter and New England in the summer.... Iflyme 0 #73 January 11, 2003 Just up the road and around the corner ... our friends have a GREAT place up there! Of course, living on an island, there is no end to the incredible waterfront properties ... maybe I'd take on of those multi-million dollar places! But really, I'd never want to live anywhere other than Vancouver Island. It's great here! Mild weather, ocean, lakes, and beaches everywhere, mountains, skiing, world's best scuba diving, camping, multicultural city, my dropzone...
