Vallerina 2 #1 January 6, 2003 It seems that many dzs out there have one extremely fun boogie every year. What are some of the annual boogies that a person really has to go to, just can't miss, etc etc (excluding WFFC...already planned...and Lost Prairie...not a chance I can make that this year.)There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

arlo 0 #6 January 6, 2003 Turkey Meet, Thanksgiving week at Skydive City (Zephyrhills, FL) food, competitions (RW and FF), bonfires, explosives.
thrillseek 0 #7 January 6, 2003 Much Smaller, But SEMO skydivers has the "Hot Damn Boogie" every year in the summer. You can jump from the oldest flying Porter in the world, and at the end of the boogie, everyone that wants to does water jumps into Kentucky Lake followed by a great party. Good times if you are in the midwest and want something different from the usual boogie fare.
Stacy 0 #8 January 6, 2003 and the zhills easter boogie. this year will have the 120 ways during the boogie. should be excellent to watch, never a bad tiem at SDC, even when it floods!!! it's too bad the new years "assrocket" event had to be cancelled due to the rain. jlmiracle 7 #9 January 6, 2003 South of the Border Boogie in San Carlos, Mexico. Airplanes come from Eloy. It is the best time ever. Great organizers, beach landings, pool side packing. JudyBe kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

FeetFlyer 0 #12 January 6, 2003 Sweden will have a couple of really sweet boogies this year. But the one I will go to first is the most extreme. The boogie will be held in mars and it's going to be lots of snow. We will be exiting the plane over Swedens highest mountain Kebnekajse and then land next to a cabin which is on the mountainside. The view from above will be awesome. We're going to live in little icefishing-cabins on the lake where the plane will take off and land.. and the evenings will be spent in the hot sauna drinking beer >
skygod7777 0 #13 January 6, 2003 you have to go to the WFFC and Richmond "The" Boogie. another fun one is the good times boogie. it's smaller, but they get good organizers, and it really is a good timelater
freekflyguy 0 #14 January 6, 2003 Mini Meet, Hoxter, Germany 4 rounds of 4way over a day and a half. Over 130 teams last year. BuzzIt's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
nacmacfeegle 0 #15 January 7, 2003 Vichy, best boogie in Europe. You have to go once, there's only one jump plane available, but its a an AN72 jet. Swedish Herc boogie rocks also, but not the same atmosphere as Vichy.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. RevJim 0 #16 January 7, 2003 I cannot believe nobody has mentioned the Harvest Moon Boogie! St. George, SC. I went there on a whim, and decided I should make it a yearly stop! Too much fun is had at that DZ! (o.k. Something about Sainthood may sway my opinion too, bad hot damn, that's an awsome CASA boogie!) Blues! It's your life, live it! Vallerina 2 #17 January 7, 2003 Yes, I am going to try to hit the Harvest Moon Boogie. Wally was a riot! He has to be one of the coolest dzos I've ever met! And, Kevin, Happy Mardi Gras! I know it's illegal to use beads from last year, so I will be pimping others around the streets and collect from them. The SEMO one sounds fun, and it's not too far away! Yay! Another boogie I may try to hit is the Goodtime boogie. We'll see on that one, though. I'll probably also try to hit one more boogie that's not extremely close (I am actually thinking of flying somewhere for a long weekend....boogie or tunnel...boogie or tunnel...hmmm)There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
Remster 30 #18 January 7, 2003 The Vichy boogies are, until told otherwise, not happening anymore Nac... Espace is still happening, but at the home DZ of the boogie, Lapalisse. That being said, Espace is an awsome boogie, regardless of the plane (the AN 72 was special though...). For the last 2 years, they flew 2 Skyvans and 2 Otters. IMHO, the best quality skydiving is to be had there, flat or freak. Even living in Canada now, we'll look at going again.Remster
skreamer 1 #19 January 7, 2003 Yes, if you are into freeflying the Swedish Freefly Festival is one you don't want to miss. It is the biggest freefly event IN THE WORLD!! (and the parties are frickin' awesome...) World class coaches, cheap jump tickets (about $14US last year), good food and lots of drunken debauchery... Casch 0 #20 January 7, 2003 Yeah and for the price of a brand new container I could fly there! Man I wish it were cheaper to travel! (Anyone wanna smuggle me on a cruise ship?
