riddler 0 #2 January 4, 2003 I was disappointed that the requirements were so high. I know it's for safety and all, but I was hoping to do this one. I've only got a C license and 5 night jumps.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

hottamaly 1 #4 January 4, 2003 D licence for sure and at least 2 night jumps. I didn't go because landing in the DARK in the desert and no guaranty for the spot made me very scared to do it and I wanted to drink earlier than midnight. skydiverbrian 0 #5 January 4, 2003 I've always thought that your license alone is a silly way to determine your qualifications. I ran into lots of similar goofy problems until I got my D. Now no one questions me. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

suz 0 #12 January 4, 2003 I had 3 terrible New Years in a row.(late get together's that fell thru, or I had to work, or I fought with b'friend and left in town on my own...) But I must admit....this year was Ab Fab!!! So my theory is you gotta have a few shit New Year's to have a marvellous one...But....that is my theory I must stress here. Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after

174fps 1 #15 January 4, 2003 The requirements change depending on the conditions three yrs ago they had a girl land out in the desert with no flare and bust herself up. Two yrs ago they required a D, no full moon, not optomal conditions. Not enough people...cancelled. I jumped last yr , req was B qualified. Had a blast. this yr they req a D. I believe there are night jumps on the 18 Jan, when you are there. Andrew
mdowling 0 #16 January 4, 2003 I was among the 10 jumpers who made the midnight jump. They explained the reason for the D requirement was the lack of full moon. It sure was a fun time and I'm glad I did it, though it sure was strange being stone sober as the clock struck 12:00.
