Are we too sophisticated to pray to rocks, streams, and trees now? Too smarty now, huh? Everybody is on the "Big Invisible Guy" kick. Well, maybe that makes more sense. SkyDolphin 0 #61 December 17, 2002 QuoteSpiritual but not religious.I consider myself a Christian, but I dont follow organized religion. Well said. exactly what I would have said. I was raised in a very religious home. Church 3-4 times a week etc. I believe in the fundamental principals of Christianity, I just don't believe in the judgemental, I'm the only one that is right and if you don't believe what I believe then you are going to go to hell part of it. I have a hard time believing that God would punish someone simply because they were born in India, for instance, and choose to call him/her Ganesha or something different and worship him/her in a different way from what is considered the Christian way. I think there is one God and many different names for him/her and many different ways to worship him/her but the same God all the same. Rhonda
PLFXpert 0 #62 December 17, 2002 I think I've invented my own denomination of Christianity. It suits me fine. I believe in God and Jesus. I don't believe, however, in the institution of church or that God created the world in seven days. I do believe, however, that no matter what one's religion, everyone is saved. As long as one stays true to their own beliefs, whatever they may be, then they are doing right for themselves. I pray every day. I pray directly to God and not to a priest of through Mary, or any of that other stuff. I pray on every plane ride to altitude. I pray for myself and for all others. I figure, even if I'm wrong, which obviously, I don't believe I am, then it still doesn't hurt to pray or believe in something. In the grand scheme of things, I think all religions, evolution, etc. is all bound together infinitely. I don't believe any beliefs are better than others, and don't believe in killing/hating/stereotyping on the basis of radical religion. To summarize, I believe in Christianity basics like God and Jesus, but I also believe in the power of the human mind, and I believe these things co-exist, without going in to too many details. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Cajones 0 #74 December 17, 2002 Amen, Brother! The name for the Cross-Braced/Airlocked canopy will be exhaulted (as soon as Brian tells us all what it is!). Being the mad-scientist of canopies, he even made some hints he's got some more designs floating around in that brilliant brain of his. He's running the special for Instructors, again, so there is no excuse for those of you with ratings to NOT have the best (well, except that we are all broke and can't even afford to feed ourselves - but food is secondary!) The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
