free dogs anyone?

Recommended Posts

I'm ready to kill both of them.

Tonight was our work Xmas party - always an excellent dinner, plenty to drink and a really fun gift exchange game. I got home from work in a big hurry to get showered and changed and off to the party. Walk in the house and discover that my wonderful dogs were sure there was something horrible lurking just under the living room carpet while I was at work today... so they dug and they tore and they ripped and they shredded the carpet, the padding, all the way down to the floorboard. >:(

Put it all back as best I could after dragging each dog over to the scene of the crime and screaming at them for awhile. Put a chair over the middle of the destruction zone to try to keep it all somewhat together. Left for the party.

It was a fun party. Learned some interesting things about some of my coworkers and friends (Mike, I can't believe you stole that strawberry flavored vibrating gummy cock!).

Got home a little while ago. The chair idea didn't work, the carpet and padding are once again everywhere. The dogs are now outside. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to let them back in the house again.

So far my dogs have cost me 1 destroyed loveseat, 1 scratched up door, 1 scratched up wall, 1 broken window, and now 1 torn up living room carpet. They're lucky I love them... cuz I think by now most people would have dropped them off at the pound...

Anybody in southern California have any room sized carpet remnants you want to get rid of? How about a nice chain link fence dog run?

make sure you guys take good care of Colls (Colleen) or we WILL snag her back and place her in 2425 where she belongs. :P You'll have to ask her to explain THAT one...

Lisa, you've seen me...and you know what MY type does to doggies. ;) BBQ sauce anyone?;)

Well this sucks, sounds like your dogs are eithier bored or pissed off at you for leaving them alone. How old are your dogs? Sounds like they are still young. If so, you still have time to cage train them. Then you can let them out for an hour at a time when you are not there. Just make sure to reward them when they don't tear anything up.

-Just my choice of bullshit.

Colls was my roomie for over a year and we lured her back to FL for last weekend as well. Ask her who would win. ;)

Just take good care of her. We miss her and love her dearly. :) AND tomorrow is her birthday. :) She's 18...again. ;) You guys BETTER appreciate her music....what an awesome DJ she is, eh? I'm such a proud 'sister.'

Dogs will act out when they are upset or mad at you. Calm down and ask yourself if there may be a reason why the dogs are acting up.
I have a full house when it comes to pets. Three dogs and two cats, I just can't say "No" when it comes to rescue of a poor animal. The most recent one is a Golden which was left on a chain in the pre owners yard. The owner moved and left the dog. (she only weighted 38 pounds when I got her, and you could feel every bone in her body :( ) She is such a sweetheart. The only problem, since she was left outside most of her life, I don't trust her when I leave the house. I am a strong believer of the crate or kennel training. (I don't say cage, since I don't want the dogs to ever think they are being punished when I put them in there.) I've done that with all my dogs and it works great. Also, I take all the dogs for a daily walk, a few miles, that seems to relax them.
Good luck, and don't be mad at the dogs;)
