happythoughts 0 #29 December 10, 2002 Quote I have a shirt that says 'Non Breeder.' I stopped wearing it because too many people took it as derogatory. As a hetero guy who doesn't want any more kids, I could wear it myself, but it isn't that important to mention on a shirt.

cgross 1 #32 December 10, 2002 No i dissagree... California people do have a rod up their ass when it comes to everything. They just look for a cause. Mindcake 0 #33 December 10, 2002 I work in Ann Arbor Mi, a community which has a large gay community. One would think that a city with a large gay population would be a little more progressive, but people here crack gay/black jokes all the time it gets really old. Just because I am a white male dosen't mean I like gay/racial jokes, and because I am in sales I have to keep my mouth shut. Maybe someday we can all live in a nation where people don't feel compelled to poke fun at others because of there sexual prefrence or the color of their skin. What's funny is that most men love the idea of two women going at it, but when they see two guys holding hands they wan't to hurt them....why? are people that insecure with their sexuality??? skybytch 273 #35 December 10, 2002 Quote Just because I am a white male dosen't mean I like gay/racial jokes I was real impressed with my son a while back. His boss does the gay bashing jokes constantly; David finally told him that it makes him very uncomfortable to hear the jokes, that they aren't funny and to please knock it off. Note that David is a straight almost 19 year old male. I guess sharing a piece of property with a gay male couple for almost a year when he was 12 really was the right decision. skydiverbrian 0 #38 December 10, 2002 That's very impressive. Most 19-year olds are under so much peer pressure, they'll sway whichever way the crowd does. You done a good job, ma! cgross 1 #40 December 10, 2002 What really bothers me is the reverse desrimination that is going on here. You are all free to be sypathetic and post your views, but if I give you mine I will be called a bigot or "ignorant". Actually niether are true. I am not political in my views, nor am I religious. I am in the sciences, and that has shaped my views on "our" existence. Ignorant would be the wrong word, because I am well imformed of the facts. Also, i am tolorant of people views, and lifestyles. What I am not tolorant of is people preaching or telling me what right and wrong is, wheter i agree or not. It is the same reason that I tell religious people that show up on my doorstep to FUCK OFF. Don't sell "YOUR" beliefs to the rest of the world. chris

freeflir29 0 #42 December 10, 2002 Quote I could care less what sex that person is. Oh Lisa....I was making a JOKE!!! I can't say as I would like it if my son was gay. I just don't want him dealing with all the extra social problems that comes with it. I also don't "agree" with the lifestyle. I'll probably want some grandkids one day too. goose491 0 #44 December 10, 2002 QuoteMaybe someday we can all live in a nation where people don't feel compelled to poke fun at others because of there sexual prefrence or the color of their skin. Must not forget, however, that all comedy comes at the expense of somebody.... i.e. You can't laugh at the guy slipping on a banana peel if he don't slip in the first place. It's hard not to get lost in all this PC bullsh*t. I crack gay jokes all the time! I crack black jokes all the time! I'm not afraid to admit it. I do realize that there is a time and place to shut ma mouth. I also realize that some people don't realize when enough is enough but as bad as it may sound to some, I will always poke fun at others because of there sexual prefrence or the color of thir skin (of course the operative word in that statement is not sexual, prefrence, color or even skin, but "FUN") Quote What's funny is that most men love the idea of two women going at it, but when they see two guys holding hands they wan't to hurt them....why? are people that insecure with their sexuality??? Careful here too friend. I think making a statement about "Most Men" is just as bad as making a statement about "Them Queers"! Don't you? I enjoy the dyke scene (I know I know, harsh), but neither I nor most men that I know want to hurt gay guys holding hands. Nicholas My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! SpeedRacer 1 #48 December 10, 2002 QuoteIn a bubble in the first edition of the series, Rawhide Kid comments about the Lone Ranger: "I think that mask and the powder blue outfit are fantastic. I can certainly see why the Indian follows him around." BWAHAHAHA!! This reminds me of a Lenny Bruce sketch that was eventually made into a short cartoon called "Thank You, Masked Man!" in which the Lone Ranger goes around catching badguys & riding away before the townspeople can thank him. When they finally catch up to him & ask him what he wants as a reward, he says, "Give me Tonto the Indian!" Townspeople: "What fer?" Masked Man: "Hey, you said I could have anything! And I want Tonto!" Townspeople: "What you want Tonto fer?" Masked Man: "To perfom an unnatural act!" Townspeople: "Blah! Masked man's a queer!" etc. etc. This was a pretty shocking thing back in the early sixties when people didnt talk about this kind of thing.
