If you peeps could change one thing about your looks, what would it be?

I would love to have the ugly scar on my tummy go away.

That's funny...you didn't appear to mind it at Rantoul. You seemed "beyond confident about it.

BTW - I think scars are awesome. They tell a story - they are your history.:)

I wish my scars had cool stories behind them. One is a chicken pox scar. The other is from Boo Boo Bunny biting me when he was a puppy. The other is from being drunk and trying to climb over a barbed wire fence with some guy pushing me over it.

Another thing I'd like to change about myself is to get this damned lamp shade off my leg!

Val - see?! Those ARE great stories! Seriously.... after shattering my leg and having many incisions on my knee, I have heard so many other broken leggers stressing about their scars. What are they worried about? That someone will look at their leg and think, "Wow! She musta had surgery on her leg."? You DID have surgery on your leg! What's to hide? But also, it was such a life changing event for me and an incredible experience that I kinda like my scars for what they represent and for reminding me how fragile life really is.:)
Yeah - that lamp shade looks like a bitch to carry around! Must really mess with your fall rate too.:P

Well, yours are from actual events! Mine are from...well....nothing of value! Plus, the one where I decided to drunk climb, it looks like I was trying to slit my wrists. Well, which is kinda funny I guess. People are always looking at me...seeing if I'm gonna flip out!

Oh geeze... then mine tell people I'm accident prone or something! Let's see, I have a small scar (can't really see it unless you look for it) over my eye, that I actually never knew what it was from until recently - evidently I hit my head pretty good when I was 1 or 2 years old. You might even still be able to see the scar on my tongue from when I had stitches in it... I don't think scars really stay around on your tongue though. I have a couple beauties on each side of my ankle from my tib/fib. I still have a small mark on my arm from when a pencil stuck in it when I was a kid....
Man... I hope I never have a kid like me... between all that, and drowning, and taking a bottle of asprin, and burning myself, and trying to drive a car at age 4.... how am I still alive? And how does my mother have any hair left?!
it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

I wouldn't change my looks...but I would correct my vision. This morning I spent a chunk of time in the bathroom, half blind looking for the contact I dropped. ;)

Have you kids ever lost a contact in freefall? It always makes for an interesting landing, I must say. When you reach the ground you have nothing but a wrinkled taco shaped piece of plastic, which was once was a contact stuck to your goggles. B|

x's and o's,

Hol :)

And when that leg is resting on my shoulders, I don't think I will notice the scars.:P

I lost BOTH contacts once when I lost my helmet and was unconscious in freefall. I didn't know if I lost my contacts or if my vision was blurred from the collision until the doc looked into my eyes and confirmed I was indeed contact-less. Beats the hell out of a concussion!:S At the time my contacts were the LEAST of my worries.

The girl knelt in the confessional and said, "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned." "What is it, child?" "Father, I have committed the sin of vanity. Twice a day I gaze at myself in the mirror and tell myself how beautiful I am." The priest turned, took a good look at the girl, and said, "My dear, I have good news. That isn't a sin. It's just a mistake."
:D

Edit added: This wasn't directed to Dove. Her name was the last poster. I just clicked reply. The general tone of the thread is "what unattractive feature would I change?". I was posting a joke about a person who believes that they have none. No confusion - I have met D in person. Gorgeous and not conceited, even though she has the right to be.

Well, yes, almost every time I tried to jump with contacts. In my experience it's better to lose both than only one, it screws with your depth-perception much less... My goggles obviously must've leaked enough to dry up my eyes, causing the contacts to fall out.

I'd like to grow new hair on my head where it all fell out. I also need corrected vision and hearing. My teeth are kind of crooked and far from pearly white. Having a more intelligent twinkle in my eyes would also be nice. I have CRS disease real bad, and can even hide my own Easter eggs now. Maybe I just need to order up a complete new head. Not to mention my other body parts that need work. Steve1

I seriously doubt I'd be able to land a parachute without my contacts in. For that reason, I'm pondering laser surgery. However, the potential complications are still scaring me off...
