bloody_trauma 2 #2 July 20, 2007 oh hey, no one around here in the augusta GA area have a program that even come close to spacelands, how is that going to impact my training if i did these jumps at spaceland, and i go somewhere that has a program that is less advanced? say an AFF courseFly it like you stole it
djmarvin 2 #3 July 20, 2007 David, It was good to see you out during Skyfest. Glad everything has been going good for you. If you need to to continue your program somewhere else, make sure you bring your logbook with you along with any other paperwork you have. (like your "a" card). The STP program can transition into AFF if needed. STP 3 is comparable to USPA's Category C in the AFF program. If there any questions from where you end up please feel free to have your instructors call us at Spaceland and I will be happy to pass along any information needed. Of course we would be happy to see you back here to make some more jumps, but I understand you gotta go where Uncle Sam sends you. PhreeZone 20 #4 July 20, 2007 I don't see a written form of what is to be on each STP jump but if that is jump 3 then that is about right on the AFF levels so youshould be able to work with any instructor to customize the AFF levels to meet your needs.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Gary73 10 #5 July 20, 2007 David, It's a bit of a drive, but a lot of folks from the Augusta area jump at Skydive Atlanta in Thomaston, GA ( http://www.skydiveatlanta.com/ ). We use the standard 7-level AFF program, like almost every turbine dropzone, but I'm sure we can work something out. BTW, the video looked pretty good. If that had been an AFF 3 I'd have passed you on to 4. Try keeping your knees a little closer together. That will allow you to have a deeper, more relaxed arch, which should smooth out that rocking.
