Rookeskydiver 0 #1 December 9, 2002 As for myself, the Goonies was my favorite. I think it was every kids dream to go on a pirate treasure hunt. Lolie 0 #4 December 9, 2002 I loved "The King and I" for some reason. I remember watching it four times in one day. My sister and I used to watch it every time we went to our grandma's house. -Miranda you shall above all things be glad and young / For if you're young, whatever life you wear it will become you;and if you are glad / whatever's living will yourself become. AggieDave 6 #5 December 9, 2002 Back To The Future (all 3 of them). The summer when I was 12 or 13 I think I watched all three of those movies once a day or so. Still to this day I can still damn near quote the movies line for line, even though I haven't actually watched them in a very long time... I loved the Goonies too, though. Actually, there were quite a few movies that I really enjoyed (well, I love movies, so that was normal for me), but Back to the Future(s) was the movie that stands out.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." skymama 37 #16 December 9, 2002 Another vote here for The Sound of Music, and it's still one of my favorites. And, I might add, some of you are picking movies that I saw as an adult, not a kid. wmw999 2,534 #24 December 9, 2002 Probably "Hatari!" After we watched that, the broomsticks and clotheslines were all co-opted to animal-trapping duty, and no dogs were safe. quade 4 #25 December 9, 2002 My Side of the Mountain also a -great- set of books. If you have a kid of Boy Scout age, then it's a must watch & read. The first book was written in 1959 and I believe the last book in the series was just written recently. I haven't read it yet. The movie was released in 1969. If you read the books or watch the movie, I think you'll find it interesting that what -could- have been perfectly acceptable at the time they were made, would be almost unthinkable today. Still, lots of really cool stuff in the books (a little less so in the movie) about how to live off the land and such. Realy cool. Kid even learns falconry. Anybody remember the name of the skydiving falcon that was featured in Parachutist? Well, guess where the name came from?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
