CanuckInUSA 0 #26 December 9, 2002 I would like to apologize to PLFExpert for saying that certain things she did seemed fishy in terms of obtaining her "D" license. It turns out I was obviously mistaken in thinking that someone actually needed a "B" or better license to do night jumps. I guess different dropzones do things differently. Anyway to get back to the topic of this thread, my numbers are in. 0:7:0 Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
Kris 0 #27 December 9, 2002 Quote I guess different dropzones do things differently. It's not different DZ's. It's in the USPA BSR's. The B-license isn't required to perform a night jump. You only need to have met the requirements for the B-license. Carrie, As to why anyone would pay to get all those numbers, I got them because I earned them, so why not pick them up. Better than flying into bovines at high speed, isn't it? Stacy, I have a mission for you & your Z-Hills sisters. You've got a packer at Z-Hills for the season named Augie, who is down from Oklahoma. Tell him I said, "Hola!" He's a very cool guy. My weekend numbers: 380 (miles driven):4:0 The numbers include some kickass jumps at Skydive Dallas on Saturday where two certain DZ.commers (I won't mention names Moodyskydiver & Freaksis) were supposed to meet me. TB99 0 #33 December 9, 2002 1:8:2 1 brand new canopy (which I haven't hooked up yet):8 AWESOME jumps (one from 18000'):2 cases of beer for my new canopy and for goin past 15500' for the first time. Can't wait to try my new canopy! I actually don't have the jump money now since I paid it off! My rent check is going to bounce, so I begged the owner of the house to not cash the check yet, lol. Now I gotta collect money owed to me by people so I can pay for rent and try and do a jump on my new canopy! You're not a skydiver until you use your rent money to pay for your habit, LOL. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

PLFXpert 0 #40 December 9, 2002 You're forgivenJust a lesson learned; assuming=uncoolFor the record, I'm only getting my C and getting my D in a couple months. I had planned on waiting and paying just for my D but there is a possible demo jump coming up, and I wanted to have the opportunity to do it so I went ahead and obtained the C. I don't quite have 200 jumps yet, but I'll get my D in a month or so. I have met all the proper qualifications for the D, just need that 200th jump Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Went home from work early on Thursday and didn't go at all on Friday. Feeling almost human this morning; managed to keep two meals down yesterday and the fever is gone. craichead 0 #49 December 9, 2002 3:0:1 3 Christmas parties attended this weekend. One on Friday: the formal dropzone party at a nice hotel complete with mischievous drunk skydivers stealing Christmas trees, cavorting on the roof, and pissing on cop cars. Two on Saturday: the first at AndyMan's condo with tours of the really nice flats, most of them for sale. The second, an informal skydiver party at a friend's house in the burbs...see below for case-of-beer-owed activity. 1 case of beer owed for getting naked in front of other skydivers in public for the first time (and oddly enough, not feeling ashamed in the slightest). For at least half an hour I was naked in a hot tub, in crisp 28 degree night air, with four naked guys (it should be noted that two of them were Canadian). They demanded more boobies, but I was quite happy with the ratio. Then the boring people with bathing suits climbed in. They eventually shed their suits, thank goodness. -P__ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
