Slowfaller 0 #26 December 9, 2002 Sometimes listening to Modest Mouse makes feeling depressed kinda nice, if that makes sense"Some guy comes in looking a bit like everyone I've ever seen. He moves just like crisco disco brother had perth and listerine. He starts looking at something else but directing everything to me. Any time anyone gets on there knees to pray it makes my telephone ring! And I'll be dammed he said 'You were right noone's running this whole thing.' He had a theory too God takes care of himself, god takes care of himself you and you" Chris PS "He moves just like crisco disco brother had perth and listerine. ginandjuice 0 #27 December 9, 2002 Now i REALLY miss that cd! I really wanna hear Trailer Trash. I think im gonna borrow georges copy and burn it. TRAILER TRASH Eating snow flakes with plastic forks And a paper plate of course, you think of everything Short love with a long divorce And a couple of kids of course They don't mean anything Live in trailers with no class goddamn I hope I can pass high school means nothing Taking heartache with hard work Goddamn I am such a jerk, I can't do anything And I shout that you're all fakes And you should have seen the look on your face And I guess that's what it takes When comparing your bellyaches And it's been a long time Which agrees with this watch of mine And I guess that I miss you, and I'm sorry if I dissed you The words I have to say, May well be simple but they're true, Until you give your love, There's nothing more that we can do-David Bowie
dterrick 0 #28 December 9, 2002 Quote No Brecker Brothers? I'm disappointed. ....just don;t have any. My 'habits' go back to the 80's and the trend was the bop era. Hell Weather Report's 'Birdland' was the NEW piece we did . Good reminder Dave. Next stop, a bari to do ANY Gerry Mulligan (love his Take 5 with Brubeck) and a bass clarinet for Miles Davis' Bitches Brew . PM for the mp3's Dave Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend (Lennon/McCartney)
Slowfaller 0 #29 December 9, 2002 Why go all the way to the city? I have a burned copy that might copy alright...The problem is finding a computer w/a burner. Maybe when Ed or Scott come home they will burn all of the disks you want... Gawain 0 #30 December 9, 2002 If it's a bad day at the "office" then I turn the radio off, and listen to the engine in my car for while...a few fast revs up through 8100RPM resets me. Then I turn on whatever's in my CD changer...right now: Days of the New, Marvelous 3, Sugartooth, Queensryche, Remy Zero, and Smashing Pumpkins. This is what I do if I know I won't be jumping of course. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! jose 0 #40 December 10, 2002 Quote Queensryche Wow, and I thought that I was the only person stuck in the 80's. I loved that band so much that I almost had the tri-reich symbol tattooed on my arm. I have Chris Degarmos guitar pick from the Operation Mindcrime tour if you want it.
kizzie92 0 #41 December 10, 2002 The Farting Song or Dan's Big Log are always a favourite for sad skydivers around the bonfire. Excuse me! Have you farted? Of course I have! Slowfaller 0 #42 December 10, 2002 Have not heard the new jets yet but am anticipating hearing it during Christmas (holiday) break. A buddy of mine should be bringing it home with him. It was too bad that there was an illness and they didn't play at the University of Illinois, I was looking foward to that show. Oh well. Off topic kinda but the new Queens of the Stoneage disk is a jam, definatly worth buying, or burning it.
