no7rosman 0 #1 December 8, 2002 Me and couple friends signed up to go to this in Feb. and I was wondering if anyone has been there. For anyone interested in this boogie, here is what I know so far. I am so excited I want to tell everyone!!!! First of all the price...285.00 boogie fee. This includes a place to stay on the AF Base, food, and all the jumps you can do for 6 days. Plus you must pay airfare from US of course. I got an email from our contact there, and he said we will all be participating in a demo jump for the President of the Dominican Republic and their diplomats. He said we should bring a gift for the Pres. (I wonder if we get to meet him) Also, he said...8 out of the last 10 boogies have had a Huey to jump from, which is included in your boogie fee. He also mentioned there would be other specialty aircraft, but he wouldn't say what they were because they hadn't been confirmed. Has anyone been here or heard of this boogie??? Please let me know how it was. Blue Skies and Tight Doors!!!! (Thanks Brian)

LouDiamond 1 #4 December 8, 2002 Dom Rep is pretty cool. Never jumped that boogie but I can say it's 3rd world but a hell of a party scene and plenty of Rum, women and Cigars can be found."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

no7rosman 0 #8 December 8, 2002 Oh yeah...The main jump planes are two CASA's. But they only allow 55 people to attend this boogie. I am wondering if they keep them running all the time or lots of shut downs. Or fly half-full? You never know.
dunesurfer 0 #9 December 8, 2002 I was there in the 80's waay before I was a skydiver. Its a beautiful country with good food and good, cheap booze. IMHO one of the best spots I stopped at down there.
