AirMail 0 #1 December 6, 2002 Does anyone else have problems getting UPS to actually try to delivery something when they are supposed to. For the third time now, I have paid for 2nd day air delivery only to have UPS not deliver on the 2nd day. The tracking information said the package was "Out for delivery" at 7:29 this morning. I was in my apt ALL fucking day and the buzzer never rang. This time they didn't even leave a delivery slip. The tracking information says delivery was attempted at 5:53 but I know there was no attempt made. What can I do about this beside raise my blood pressure? Jimbo 0 #3 December 6, 2002 My advice, FUCK UPS. Don't ask them to ship to you, don't ship with them if you have the choice of another carrier. I'd rather do business with FedEx or the USPS. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
bwilling 0 #4 December 6, 2002 Do the same thing I do after an episode where UPS delivered over $1000 worth of computer parts to the apt next door to me, to people who'm I'd never met, to people who promptly stole the thing, and told me that UPS had NOT left a package there for me... use FedX "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got." narcimund 0 #7 December 6, 2002 QuoteWhat can I do about this beside raise my blood pressure? Sure. You can do one of two things: 1) Execute your rights under their guarantee. That means you call their guarantee line. Listen to the comforting message and soothing music for fourteen minutes. Tell the flunky who answers what happened. They'll ship you a guarantee form. Three days later when it arrives, fill it out. I recommend hiring a transportation consultant to help you decipher the form. Send it in. Six to eight weeks later you'll receive a response indicating that your claim has been denied. Apply again with more explanation. In twelve weeks they'll approve your claim. Six weeks later they'll send you a check for $1.28 which is the difference in price between 2-day and 3-day shipment. OR 2) Never ever use big companies for anything. Just use small business where you can talk to the owner and where the owner gives a shit about your patronage. First Class Citizen Twice Over
