jlmiracle 7 #1 December 4, 2002 I work on the trading desk at a brokerage firm in the bond department. We had vistors today from a bank we do business with. Our office is corp casual and one big wide open space (about 20 people in this office) so a broker goes out to his car and brings in a rotting deer head, yes, while we have visitors. Runs around the office to show everyone, smearing blood on everything it comes in contact with, mainly the doors and a few walls. After the visitors left, we told him to clean up the blood, but refused (trust fund baby) always had someone to do it for him. and of course, someone did clean it up. Our branch manager is worthless, but every time my opinion has been asked for of him, I am ususally ignored. Am I over reacting? AggieDave 6 #2 December 4, 2002 Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed... I love seeing a good trophy, I like seeing the deer after the kill, even in the garage after a hunting trip, but to bring it into an office and tear stuff up? What an ass.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
hohonukai 0 #3 December 4, 2002 ew..yuck. Common sense ==> out the door. I used to work at a brokerage firm. I couldn't imagine their faces if someone brought a rotting deer head in, be it broker or customer.

blewaway5 0 #6 December 4, 2002 Gotta agree, AD. Hell, just a few weeks ago I was out trying to shoot Bambi & Co. Didn't get anything personally, but had a great time helping my dad and cousin process theirs. Of course, there's a time and place for everything, and the office and the carcass, they just don't mix. (hmm, it's lunch time now, so I think I'm gonna have to cook some of Bambi up. All this talk is getting to me!) Truman Sparks for President

jlmiracle 7 #8 December 4, 2002 Unfortunately he already has 3 children. I have no problem with hunting, in fact I encourage it due to the high deer population around here cause I don't want to hit one with the car. He is one of those people who thinks he is the exception to the rules - all of them. Everyone, thanks for your replys. freeflir29 0 #9 December 4, 2002 QuoteI think I'm gonna have to cook some of Bambi up. All this talk is getting to me OK....that's it. Since I had to finally give up my Montana residency to get a concealed carry permit here in Georgia and my canopy is in Deland getting relined......it might just be time to put some meat in the freezer this weekend. All this venison talk is making me hungry. It's just that it really isn't a challenge here. In Montana you have to hike up mountains and walk all day. Here....I walk 50 Ft from my parents back door and wait for them to walk into the pasture. I have to agree with the others....Bambi heads in the office give a poor image to hunters. blewaway5 0 #12 December 4, 2002 Yeah, missouri isn't the toughest place in the world to get a deer either, if you hunt the right spots. Of course, throw in a bow or black powder and it makes it a bit more challenging. Bottom line for me, though, is that venison is one of my all time favorite meats, and this chili is gonna rack when I finish cooking it Truman Sparks for President
freeflir29 0 #13 December 4, 2002 Quote missouri isn't the toughest place in the world to get a deer either No doubt!! I went hunting in Missouri once. A friend of mine lives in Filmore which is a little ways north of St. Joseph. He has a 400 Acre place out in North central Missouri to hunt on. They grow white tails LARGE up there. Lots of deer and so many turkeys they get annoying listening to them gobble all morning and evening. I only shot a small 2X2 while I was there and of course saw a 4X4 and some MONSTER the following days. Just my luck...My friend got a nice 5X5 though. His farm is a little slice of heaven. Out in the middle of nowhere, Heavily timbered, thick with game, and two differen't ponds with 8lb and better bass in them. Probably one of the nicest places I have been next to Montana. Guest #14 December 4, 2002 Talk about poor judgement! Yes, there are some areas where deer are serious pests. I almost took one out on my way back to St Louis from Quincy 2 years ago, and a co-worker of mine was seriously injured when a deer leaped in front of the car she was riding in and went through the windshield. I'll tell you, if a deer jumps in front of my car and if I'm uninjured, it'll be venison for supper, for revenge, if nothing else."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." blewaway5 0 #15 December 4, 2002 yep, sounds about right. I've got to totally brag on my state when it comes to the coservation department. They do know what they're doing most of the times. Not to mention a lot of my friends got a lot of nice deer. Me, I only saw one really nice one, a 14 pointer, but my dad got an 8 pointer, my cousin a 6 pointer, and a couple of friends I work with got a 10 and a 12. It was crazy! hooked 0 #16 December 4, 2002 No, you are not over reacting! That was just wrong. An office is definitely not the place to drag in a rotting deer head.
