jlmiracle 7 #1 December 4, 2002 I work on the trading desk at a brokerage firm in the bond department. We had vistors today from a bank we do business with. Our office is corp casual and one big wide open space (about 20 people in this office) so a broker goes out to his car and brings in a rotting deer head, yes, while we have visitors. Runs around the office to show everyone, smearing blood on everything it comes in contact with, mainly the doors and a few walls. After the visitors left, we told him to clean up the blood, but refused (trust fund baby) always had someone to do it for him. and of course, someone did clean it up. Our branch manager is worthless, but every time my opinion has been asked for of him, I am ususally ignored. Am I over reacting? Didn't get anything personally, but had a great time helping my dad and cousin process theirs. Of course, there's a time and place for everything, and the office and the carcass, they just don't mix. I have no problem with hunting, in fact I encourage it due to the high deer population around here cause I don't want to hit one with the car. Of course, throw in a bow or black powder and it makes it a bit more challenging. A friend of mine lives in Filmore which is a little ways north of St. Joseph. He has a 400 Acre place out in North central Missouri to hunt on. They grow white tails LARGE up there. Lots of deer and so many turkeys they get annoying listening to them gobble all morning and evening. I only shot a small 2X2 while I was there and of course saw a 4X4 and some MONSTER the following days. Just my luck...My friend got a nice 5X5 though. His farm is a little slice of heaven. Out in the middle of nowhere, Heavily timbered, thick with game, and two differen't ponds with 8lb and better bass in them. Probably one of the nicest places I have been next to Montana. I almost took one out on my way back to St Louis from Quincy 2 years ago, and a co-worker of mine was seriously injured when a deer leaped in front of the car she was riding in and went through the windshield. blewaway5 0 #15 December 4, 2002 yep, sounds about right. I've got to totally brag on my state when it comes to the coservation department. They do know what they're doing most of the times. Not to mention a lot of my friends got a lot of nice deer. Me, I only saw one really nice one, a 14 pointer, but my dad got an 8 pointer, my cousin a 6 pointer, and a couple of friends I work with got a 10 and a 12. It was crazy!
